I wish these textures were standard for every simulation game, having travelled this route many times (on NJT) I can say, it's almost on par with real life! I wish they would make a Toronto, Canada DLC because the regional rail here is absolutely fantastic and would be great in the simulator!

This really looks like fun to drive a train also New York city should be added that'll be epic I would really get this for sure especially if it's the whole NYC rail but it might be impossible because there are so many lines..lol

Shouldn't be too hard. The Charger interior is almost exactly the same as the ACS-64 (other than the pantograph up/down button).

LIRR would be too complex a system. They have 128 different unique signals / signs. F and Harold is the most complex interlocking on the continent by a wide margin. I don't see it being simulated realistically at all; I'd love to be proven wrong, though!
Totally. And make it like the real thing. Signal problems, train stuck in East Tunnel, and other crap delays every 10 miles. Just like the real thing we New Yorkers face everyday. LOL
BARRY SOLOMON In my opinion you're underestimating how ridiculously complex F and Harold are. It's so insane that some signals have special arrows that light up to tell the engineer what route he or she is lined for.
Not to mention its under construction for east side access and changing daily.
The LIRR is no joke. 2 months ago I said they had 128 signals in their book of rules. Since then they've added 6 more to make it 134. It would be a nightmare to try and realistically simulate that system.

Brendan Fox I wish they’d build the route all the way to South Station, Boston. I don’t think there’s ever been a complete NEC route on any simulator.

It depends on how good your computer is. If you have a gaming computer that can run a game like this then I would definitely recommend tsw.

Bizarre service pattern…what is that other train with two ACS64s? Why does it not stop at Newark Penn? Other than the nonstop NY-DC Acelas I can’t ever remember a train not stopping there. Meanwhile they have you stop at the rarely-used track A and then stop at Secaucus which is a NJT-only station. The scenery is pretty good but it’s really weird to see how they basically just slap Amfleet trains all over it to make up for the absence of NJT and Acela traffic.

A. Bible Acelas wouldn’t be a good idea unless they decided to expand the nec in the game because if they put in a Acela now it would only stop at ny penn and new Rochelle. Not liberty, Newark penn, or sea caucus.

I'm new to TSW and stuck on how to open the passenger train doors.
Press tab and then press open right or left depending on what side of the train the platform is on. And do the same to close the doors

There are tutorials. There's also a mode called service where you can play around with the controls without the game freaking out
I had trouble driving the train and I figured out how to drive it and I didn’t know how to open doors but now I know you press tab

How to play Passenger Train mod in Train Sim World (PC)? Free
Go into the menu, click services and select your character. Then you can customize the weather and select the time and location you want to spawn in. It's not free you have to buy the game

Is it just me or is the performance in this game beyond horrid?
I get about 30fps on average. Not the best but I'm playing on a so-so graphics card
I pull barely 45 on my 1060 with an i5 8600k, and changing the settings has a minimal impact on that. I think its just poorly optimised.
