OneNote: don't creep on the clippers. I've used them a few times and one time I just waved it around the microphone and threw OVOX created kind of a harmonium kind of sound. There's a lot you can do with it. Plus you can add things onto the clippers to have the clippers resonate them and create a really lush sound almost like a synth.

Looks really good but wish it was released as an upgrade to XLN's XO instead of a separate product. Feels like it is similar enough to XO to do that... I think that if they had done that (at a lower price - upgrade price vs new plugin price) there would be even more excitement around this, and they probably would sell even more copies...

Can you import your own samples via your daw so you dont have to use your phone ect?

Yup, can drag audio in or use their companion plugin that comes with it. They call it DAW recorder. Put it on any track or the master and record the audio playing in the DAW
You can but the issue is that it has to upload it to the cloud. It's not accessing it from your hard drive. The only person that has mentioned this is Polarity Music. Everyone else who's reviewing aren't mentioning that.

You should know that it’s cloud based plugin! So you have to be prepared for limit or subscription

BEWARE you basically give XLN copyright over YOUR samples. Read their TOS: (7) For the purposes of enabling XLN Audio to enhance its Software and services, including by use of machine learning and for AI training purposes, the Customer grants to XLN Audio the following license:
a) a non-exclusive, irrevocable, free-of-charge, worldwide, perpetual, transferable, sublicensable license to access, analyze, copy, store, modify, create derivatives from, make available to the public and otherwise use, in any manner and media, all Created Music Work and any parts thereof, including but not limited to any recordings, stems, loops, sounds, samples, presets, MIDI files and underlying compositions (if any), and any other material generated by the Customer in connection with the use of the Software;
b) to the extent applicable and permittable under applicable law, you waive any so-called “moral rights” in relation to the license in paragraph 6(7) a) above;
c) for the avoidance of doubt, paragraph 6(7) a) and b) above shall apply also to Created Music Work created by the Customer during the Trial Period, regardless of whether the Customer exercises its right to withdraw in accordance with paragraph 5 above.

When you sending loops to the cloud you know what's happening? This loops are not yours anymore.
that's why i won't use my own loops LOL

@@Verysickbeatsjust mean that it’s not really something you would use to make finished beats with. Fun to play around with but I can’t see it being used as a polished production tool.
Totally useless for me, I don’t and won’t use samples. This means more non musicians can create more crap like we need more.

(7) XLN Audio reserves the right to impose limitations on the volume of Customer cloud storage as deemed necessary.
The cloud will become a subscription. Space is not free. First I was interested but I knew something was off about the Cloud. Hard pass from me. No no no. Moreover, they will charge for storage all while using what we upload as the dataset to develop more AI.
