ashe is a really good pivot from arcanist. your going to be focusing on porcelain anyway and if no good augments pop up you can use fated, warden and arcanist well

Just started this set and was hoping for a generalization of what's going on. Always appreciate the clarity of your evaluations.
you're lucky you play on the most flex patch of this set to date. the reaper yone and duelist volibear day was a really dark time 😔

1 question isnt lee better in the Azir fast 9 comp? Than you have 4 dlords and have stun aswell o;
some top players do like 4 dlords more for the stun and cc but after nerf, some also prefer altruist as to give your frontline better sustainability
is atkspeed or ap kayle better for the early game? (for example if you just hold it to transition into ashe)
That totally depends on the state of your board. When I have Zoe Zyra I go AP otherwise I think the AS for the first is the best because every unit can use it some won't use AP well at all. My 2 cents.
This patch has given me a lot of mixed feelings, some units feel pretty strong and some are really underwhelming. Climbing has been pretty hard cuz i see a lot of the same comps and most of them just gape me. anyway great video

Felt the same, playing ashe flex one night got d2, played the other day demoted to d3, my legendary board got destroyed by 4 cost board, yea it is what it is

Yeah with this level of information creeping, this would be hard to balance, or for players find a way to change the meta

if you get a fated emblem and put it on ashe, do you make aphelios a pair? When do you prefer to pair what?
Yasuo thresh pair for team wide tankiness to scale guinsoo on Aphelios and Ashe plus Syndra’s ult. With Sett 2 you can pair him with Thresh for the same reason. Sunfire and spark are secret op on thresh because he will heal off their damage when paired with Sett (unless this has been fixed)

yeah good vid i tend to only know 2 comps per patch so this helps me pivot if im desperate
I came back after a month and hopped into ranked, was playing early set comps since I didn’t want to get lost in the sauce, somehow still got contested 3x on things like ghostly, mythic reroll, umbral reaper, what gives???
Petition to change Fast 9 AP comp on the website to DJ WALRUS
Did my first buildt different 2 days ago and got annie 3 + kayn 3 even before the 3 stars it claps with Just 9 2star 4costs if u dont hit any 5 costs
I've never been able to play Built Different in the past, but I love it this set. It helps that barely any 4 costs have synergy at 2 pieces.
qiyana 4 duelist reroll is pretty strong

the tft academy loads very slowly though, or is it just my cheap internet?
I started playing this tier recently going through ranks pretty fast 59% win up to plat 1.. since the recent changes have stalled and been like 50/50 in my last games.
Now the Tactic of build bloodthirster/titans rage early chuck on a darius.. then move to Yone/Voli/Kayn/sylas or even 5 star doesn't seem to work at all well
Looking forward to see what's viable on the video now.. everyone seems to be going ashe/invoker or fast 9 5 star board
what? an early darius 2 holding kayn items is still ridiculously OP and will be stable until almost stage 4, then you roll for heavenly kayn/morg board, which is one of the best comps

I'm kinda confused, the website says updated 7h ago and has Ashe with 4 porcelain 4 Invoker, yet this vid posted 5h ago has Ashe with 4 Warden 4 Porcelain...is there a difference in quality or is it just whichever we hit 1st?
these are just variants of the same comp , the website says you can play for 4 warden , probably the reason the website now shows that comp is because that one caps the higher, and regarding to the video, the video takes a lot of time to record (sorry if English is bad)
There have been more updates to variants of the Ashe comp on TFT Academy since a day ago when I recorded this. The best way to use this video is listen to start your baseline understanding of the patch then look up the updated info on the site!

Not looking forward to all the new artifacts being added either. I thought they wanted to reduce variance.
I think that comps that used to be viable being completely pushed out isn't great for the health of the game.
People should still be able to rock their bards and fated comps to the top instead of just nothing but the buffed units carrying top 4
Yeah its sad 3 cost reroll is so bad this patch. I hope they bring some of it back. It was definitely overwhelmingly reroll-centric but now its very rare
It's the typical Riot classic "nerf what's strong AND buff what's weak" (they nerf 3 cost rerolls by nerfing shop odds on 7 AND they buff all 4 costs).

I actually hate this patch the more i play it. You van start so well and get absolutely screwed over stuff like getting no Rods like last game, or rolling 112 gold and finding 1 lissandra and 0 azir despite both being in the pool

bard reroll took me gold in three days and currently g1 cuz nobody contests and hitting 3 tahm and bard is easy , kaisa for the tricksot and at level 8 if you sitting on 7 mythic and 2 tricksots you rpetty much set tbh
Bruiser kaisa is the most reliable comp for me
Personally i don't like reroll it feels feels like a luckfest so I'm glad we are in a 4 cost meta
Reroll meta sucks ass. 4 cost flex play is way better.
kinda amaze me that all the comps you show here are the only ones i see in my emerald elo, i wasn't that much aware of it but i had my guess, seems like people can't think for themselves anymore that's kinda sad

Are you not doing the same thing by watching this video? and to be fair if they want to climb you are better off playing meta over for fun comps. Not to mention this is a 34min video with multiple comps

I don't get why Irelia keeps getting nerfed when nobody plays her anymore since the last 3 patches.
Better nerf Irelia
She is weaker but can do work if you have the right conditions! Other 5 costs are better but sometimes you hit Irelia so play her
I've been playing pbe bc I don't think it's worth climbing this patch. It's only gonna get worse with Artifacts
They wont be able to balance it
U guys sound so fun holy.
Not to mention every team is contested by the whole lobby
2-3 people can safely play the same composition, so don't be afraid if you are contested by 1 person

I lost all my inflated elo this patch and it's very humbling let's try to bounce back (lp is fake lp is fake lp is fake)
LP is a currency meant to be spent on valuable TFT lessons

Yeah ashe and kayne are crap unless you are already hard winning and no one is countering u... Played these exact comps with emblem and kayne 2 got rekt lol. Kaynes also needs fully itemized Morgana and maybe 4 ghostly to be reliable. Dryad is still stupid and just wins, along with ghostly. I forced ghostly senna 3 games in a row with way more success.
Hardstuck plat/emerald player with the best grasp of the meta
I had two star kayn with hoj, bt, titans at 3-4, hit 9 by 5-4, hit 4 reaper, 6 heavenly with heavenly emblem, wukong 2, and still got 7th and lost to 7 mythic. This patch is so bad. I’ve actually dropped back to play because no matter how good you highroll reroll is just too good even when it’s contested
I agree. I've hit some insane 9 boards and go bot 4 to reroll highrollers

@@poppoppa6497 you get lvl 8 while playing high tempo and winstreak stage 2 and 3. You transition to kaisa/kayn/ashe if you hit, it's good, if you miss /ff
Only true viable option besides those carries, are gnar or augment dependent
@@AKS_FPV yeah it's ass, at least if there's more than one reroll comp you can salvage something from a weak opener
