Crosby is the 5th greatest hockey player of all time, (best of the modern era) and ovechkin is one of the best goal scorers of all time. Those cards will only go up as they build on to their legacy’s. They are both first ballot hall of famers, and they are both playing at elite levels even though they are both out of their primes.

People saying soccer is a bubble are so short sighted, I'm in Europe and the growth of the hobby in the past 3 years has been massive. It may well seem bubby in the US where there tend to be a lot more casual soccer collectors but here in Europe things are growing rapidly through love rather than purely financial gain.
People also don't realize the young American talent right now is unheard of. We've never had teenagers starting for big European clubs before. 2026 World Cup in North America could be the catalyst for soccer to finally catch on big time in the states

It's not popular because of many things, but the sport still has a lot of room for growth. It could overtake American Football at one point and quite possible Baseball. Prices have gone up on the active future HOFers, as well as retired HOFers. Remember the Gretzky that beat the record not too long ago? Hockey ain't hard to follow either.

All the money is in psa slabs under $100 now. You can buy so many modern 10s of good players for $50-$70 bucks. Absolute no brainer. Glad to see Sasha back on the bulk grind. That’ll make these cards gain some value.

@@tho464 Exactly. As much as love sports cards, I’m not an idiot either. I’m with you there. A house at 400 K over a Chazraird is a no brainer. A home will only go up in value. Sports Cards no so much. Just be a smart investor.
@@livinwithlt I collect a lot of stuff and conveniently for me, it all appreciates in value over time, for the most part. You just have to know when to cash out and profit. I used to be heavy on Funko but once it peaked I sold everything and made out pretty good. I'm doing the same with Pokemon, Amiibo and Lego right now. I collect and enjoy things but usually sell when the markets hot and never look back. Sports cards is just a whole different ball game lol. I'm not spending a couple thousand on a box of cards that's supposed to be a couple hundred and 99% of the time you won't get ROI. Slabs are risky too, I've seen cards dip 15-20% overnight and I'm not willing to take that chance. There's a lot of guys getting rich off this stuff but there's also going to be a lot of people taking massive losses that are late to the party and I don't want to be that guy.

Why do all modern cards look the same? They are all just a portrait of the player. I remember when cards showed iconic moments, like Jordan dunking on Ewing. My favorite part about old basketball cards is looking at the faces of the other players in the frame, they don't do that anymore. Like a card of Damian's game winner in 2019 over Paul George for example. But I understand as a league you don't want your players in anyway looking bad or as a player you don't want to be looking bad on a card. It's just something I miss. Great sport moments should be captured on cards.
Because Panini sucks. I miss those game action photo shots on cards too. Plus the multi year stats. Panini give so as you said portrait or posed photos with 15 different variations of each card in each set, which in it self is over producing. cards

But, I feel you are basically crowd-source funding the one guy who actually hits it. The group basically ends up paying for 1 or 2 winners. Thoughts and/or feelings on Group Breaks?

I wanna get into sports cards and I have a fair bit of money rn but my parents really dont agree with sports cards and would go nuts if I spent probably anything over 50 on them ive tried explaining how good a market it is but they having none of it the only compramise I guess is cigarette cards my dad likes them and said he would let me spend big on t206 because he sees value in older stuff idk why he just like that
Ebay is a mess right now I can't find anything I want for example I'll type in Kyler Murray Prizm PSA10 and it'll have "no results" or like two results for active or sold. But if I were to type in Kyler Murray I'd see 10,000 Prizm Psa 10 WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS!!!!

@@nikhil_kulk Fair question. Hard to answer. What you were doing before was fine, in my opinion. I just know the exaggerated expressions on thumbnails annoy me but there is clearly a reason so many channels use them. They must generate clicks.
