Saw him two times that same year, he was a mess. Felt sorry for him, went from the top to the bottom in 5 years. In 86 came back and never stopped, long live the Coop!

Wow, totally unhinged. Bad period for the Coop this, but then you already knew that. Not sure if he just forgot some of the lyrics, or was trying to improv, but either way, he was ravaged by drugs and it shows.

      It was alcoholism.
      He never did any drugs.

No it was drugs. Cocaine to be exact. He did keep it well hidden (likely because by this point he wasn't in the spotlight like he was a few years earlier) and kept saying it was booze but about 10 years ago he finally confessed his drug addiction during the late 70s/early 80s@daseguin

His face looks like the head in the jar in “Silence of the Lambs”. Just ghastly. Poor guy. I’m glad he cleaned up. I met him in the mid-80s. Wonderful fellow!

Are you nuts? This was on the tour from the album that almost ended his career and it has to be the shittiest band he ever had

This was his weirdest era, hands down. He looks terrible, he looks like he weighed 80 lbs.
