It's like a family field trip. Bis is the ever disappointed dad who wants to show his kids the joy of flight. Loli sometimes wanders into the woods to play with his flare gun. And Bo ... Bo is special :)

Most planes in wwII had a steel armour plate in back of pilots seat. The IL2 had a meat shield behind the pilot!!!

The gunners in those early IL 2s were tough guys. Basically a hole cut behind the pilot with a strap to sit on no protection, sticking out in the airflow and freezing cold.

5:27 I actully got a kill just like that on a different flight Simulater I was flying a p-51 and I was shooting a bf109 exactly on that angel but the 109 was coming from the right instead of left. A few hits from my 50 cal tore of part of his wing and went down exactly like that. Anyway good job bis that's how I like to attack enemy fighters

Might want to tell Bismarck that his first bombs weren't dropped from high enough - that's why they didn't go off.
I do not know if that's unique to Russian bombs or not, but my squadron and I found out you have to drop bombs from a much higher altitude for some reason.
You need at least a 5s delay below a certain altitude for them to explode.

Can anyone tell me if the bottom gun on the 111 is actually meant for ground attack? Afaik it's a 13mm MG and that sounds kinda inefficient for that role.

What gun is that mounted on the front facing position of the HE111's bathtub? I thought it was a regular machine gun for a second, but on closer inspection, it looks a little big to be just a rifle caliber weapon.
