Who would think it's a good idea to break a BRAND NEW race car in by driving it through the Rocky Mountains...? 😅 US! That's the answer. I'm not sure that we thought it was a good idea, but it was our only option and it kind of sounded like a lot of fun, so that's what we did lol And THANKFULLY it handled it even better than we expected. I followed our friends from Project Prime through the mountains trying to get the best shots with their camera car, and I can say it was one of the most intense driving situations I had been in! It's just intense to drive high horsepower with skinny front wheels and tires with giant back tires with marginal brakes at semi high speeds around mountain corners and down hill on the back bumper of a car with a very expensive camera attached to it. But it was worth it! We also attempted to make a pass... but ran into new car issues... a dirty fuel system.🤦🏽♀️ Stay tuned... because in the next and last video we WILL make a pass 🙌🏼
Also a THANK YOU to @ProjectPriime for allowing me to included their killed footage in this video! Check them out on Instagram as well @projectpriime.

Alex, this was one of your best videos EVER. Real life, Serious Talk, great explanations without being defensive. You are settling in to your most wholesome personality. No makeup, no plastic smiles, just the girl racer next door. And your dad is still Awesome. Your car and you drive. And he can relish in his creation. I love it!

Thanks so much for this comment! I really appreciate it. :)
Just real people doing stuff they love.
I have said it before, but it always makes me respect how much harder this whole event is, than what you normally see in racing.
Go team Taylor
Thanks Corey 🙌🏼
Apreciate your Dad, I can tell he goes above and beyond for you!
Watching Dennis "taking a nap" and with his feet up on the dashboard (firewall) and his arm on the window ledge, really put a smile of contentment on my face. We've watched the hard work from dragging the shell out and pressure washing the moss off it, to driving a beautiful piece of rolling art through the Rocky Mountains....... it's wonderful! Thank you, Alex for taking us along for the ride, and Thanks to all of the Taylor family and everyone involved....... I was taught in engineering, Function over Form but if you can make it functionally perfect and beautiful at the same time, it becomes more than the sum of it's parts. You have certainly achieved that!! She's Gorgeous and I can't wait to see her run in anger. Thanks.
Blaine is the best Chief anyone can ask for. Hardest working kid I’ve ever seen.
Blaine is awesome!!
You Guys are a great Family, Its nice to see the skills of your father and mother rebloom with you the new generation. You guys are very motivating, Keep It Up!!!

Thanks Manuel!
Dad chillin with his feet up on dash bar is perfect lol…. He’s definitely earned it
Amen brother he has worked his butt off for his little girl just can't beat a dad like that
That scene made me laugh outloud. They are an awesome team.

Haha! He said it was his time to "relax" 😂
The people that ask why just don’t get it. An amazing payoff after all the hard work, first runs are never as sugarcoated as we would hope, you captured the reality of any good build and how long it is to the actual finish. The road trip journey was epic. Race families get it.
alex and dad being a couple badasses
How cool is this. To ride in a piece of machinery that you built from the ground up. The loud engine noise does make you sleepy, much like a loud generator on a Tug Boat. You get used to it and it lulls you to sleep. Most people don't realize how much noise is in a race car. My ear drums were rattling every time I drove one even with a helmet on. It is incredibly loud and a hard ride. PROPS for the engineering and the total package and all the hard work that was done by ALL involved. SUPER AWESOME.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Look at where the exhaust comes out in front of the doors,,,,,with windows closed, some is still being drawn into the low pressure area ; and that is thru the open floor..................hydrocarbons will put a body to sleep..............................
One of the best things I seen in this episode is your Dad getting some well deserved sleep
Love the car. Your Dad is a metal wizard..
I don’t leave comments but, I have to say that when it was you and your dad driving along it was great to see the scenery. What I enjoyed the most was the sound of that engine and watching the two of you being in tune with each other and the car. In the early 70’s myself and another gentleman put together a 69 Mustang to run in NHRA SS-H. The first time it fired up after many sleepless nights it was kind of emotional (OK I got moist eyes).
Thanks for all the Extra time and effort to take us along
Thanks for taking the time to comment that Robert! First start up is always such an emotional time, could be good or bad! lol
I haven't mentioned this, but When you shut the doors, it sounds just like my 55! That solid, but hollow sound when there is no weather stripping and no inside door panels. Brings back alot of memories.
Thank you , that was well worth the wait ! Great car , great family, good friends , and beautiful scenery.
I love the in car with the driveshaft yoke spinning...thanks for the ytube!
I thought that was so cool when I watched it back! Thanks for watching!
My son and I watched you guys from a distance not wanting to get in the way lol. Watched all the build videos and knew the car and finally got a close look at it in great bend. Such an amazing piece. You folks were really busy there too but your mom took the time to dig out a shirt for me to buy!! We spoke to Dylan for about an hour in the stands waiting for your second run. Love the car, love to watch your family and friends thrash together and can’t wait to see 💯 proof in action again in the future!!
This is a great video. Dad, you must be very proud of your daughter. Daughter you just keep getting better at all you do. Just being you. You and your Dad make this show. I love it. Keep up the great work.
Living your best life.
Beautiful car. One of my all time favorite hot rods. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome!!! I lived in Loveland and Greeality for 15 years. Love seeing those familiar roads and The Dam Store in Big Thompson.
Beautiful 55, great sound
💚👍💯 Thanks Alex and Dennis. I watched even knowing it was two month's ago because it's so much better seeing and hearing your father's content, the man looks tired, and fuel drunk like you, lack of oxygen makes you sleepy. If only corvette style big ass side pipes could work, invisible wrap perhaps, lol . Put the exhaust behind you. Loved seeing the yoke spinning away!
The head sets, Awesome 👌👏 Car Awesome, you guys, awesome, great first drive. The new filter, awesome. Thank's ✌🏼💙😎
Thanks so much for watching even though it's "late"! There a lot more going on than just getting to edit... so I always appreciate the understanding 😊🙌🏼
The new "whip" is badass! 💪💪💪💪 Great job buy the whole team. I love it!!!
Thank you Paul!
Cup holders! 🤣
Thx for taking us along for the problems and their solutions. Learning things here.

Thanks Charles! My pleasure!
Blain is a good kid. I think everyone would agree we all wish we had a kid like him! Good job Blain!!
He's awesome!
Loved this one, road trip with the Taylor's. It's an adventure in big country, long distances and beautiful scenery .
Great summary of RMRW 1.0. Could definitely remember the 104° heat after seeing you and your Dad suffer through it. Saw my yellow Nova in the background a couple times - hotel parking lot maintenance... Thanks again to the guy in your group (sister's boyfriend I think) that gave me a ride to Napa in Kearney. That really helped me out when I was in a bind.
Im going to guess those seats are anything but comfortable after 5 miles !!!
Damn gremlins an bugs !!!
For those not in the know, the movie was Two Lane Blacktop
Now we need that video of the 7.8 with you ecstatic (as you should be) creeping up on them 6's.💯👍💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸
Sooner than later! Lots of 55 content coming before the Challenger content comes out :)
This is so cool especially with your dad memories that will always be you thanks dad love you guys
Awesome as usual! God bless you and keep you safe on this trip!
I'm glad to see that you have your car on the road and getting the minor fixes, fixed. Be safe.
You and your family are awesome. Keep up the great work and videos
The 55 looks badass going Thur the mountains. Can only imagine what it’s like to actually do it
It's so much fun!
Hard work is paying off. Glad you could shake the car down in such a beautiful area. The way y'all talk it sounds like that car is riding like a big ol Cadillac.
Thanks for sharing
Ok... But just a little LOL... You all have built this awesome car... You're trying it out... so yes about all your efforts but I have to say I love the wheelie bars in front of the restaurant, and. this is a little out there, but that old '55 shell must be having a great time!
Awesome episode. Love driving thru the Rockies and even cooler watching you do it in your 55.
Btw; I dig your old COE out by the pool. Maybe someday do a short tour of your backyard / pool area. ✌
Strong work. Much respect to you and your dad.
Looks like y’all had a blast. Stressful at moments but a overall blast!
You’re awesome Alex. Love all your videos
you are amazing young lady!! ... you are such an inspiration to young women all over the world..
Seems like the car is doing quite well as far as minor issues with a brand new build on it"s maiden voyage. Best of luck and stay safe on yout travels. The 55 is looking fantastic ! 😎
Alex, the wait in the 55 was in part gruesome, but so well worth. Now here’s the kicker for me… the cockpit pic from you and your dad driving that race car, is as boss as it gets. I’ve been following you and your family since geeez spring of last year… and it’s so great to see you progressing and excelling! Keep rocking!
So awesome you guys are testing your ride out cause of Race Cars! Love the footage and that you guys were in my back yard, great looking scenery and great looking Car!
Even though I watched the event live when it happened I still can't wait to see your guys's footage of it go down the track for the first time
Soon :) Thanks for watching
So cool , thanks for sharing it with us!
Loved it great vid
Great content thanks for sharing
Another point is you and your dad did something you didn't need to, but you did it . That is why yall did so good for Drag week and RMRW, you had a great shake down week !!
kudos to the whole team...Go Alex!
Hey Alex, that was an awesome trip through the mountains. Beautiful scenery with a beautiful driver sharing her trip with us. Very minor repairs for a new drag car. It's good to find the small problems now then later. Your father is like 10 father's in one. The man is so talented and knowledgeable in everything to do with cars. I wish I knew one tenth of what your father know, let alone what you know. While you were working on the car an explaining to us what you were wiring up was like a different language to me. Anyway, be safe, be pretty and go faster.
Thanks Scott! He's pretty great. It's a continual learning process, but that makes it fun :)
0:15 Yes.. Yes there are beautiful scenes
Thank you guys, I really enjoyed this video.
awesome, that open tunnel would drive me nuts though lol
I cant wait till next year, I should be ready. You guys dis an awesome job with the whole build series and now with the following the drive. Great work!

LOL @ Adrian...slams door..."sorry, it shut too good"...
Girl you’re amazing and pops is a legend!!
YOU DID A GREAT JOB THE CAR LOOKS BAD ASS
I love that car! Perfect
What a great way to see the Rockies❤️ BC🇨🇦
At 18:50 I just realised the drive shaft spinning between them. That would put the fear of God in me. I’m sure your build quality is excellent but I would be afraid of dropping something or accidentally reaching down 😂
You guys are badass 😎 always love the content ❤
Dammit I have been looking forward to these '55 updates way too much. This is my favorite YT channel. :)
That means a lot! Thank you!
Y'all are awesome
Alex you rock! Love the channel and content keep up the great work! I'm here for the algorithm! Peace

Thank you so much Ken!
This one was a fun one! Right on.
Really cool to see all the hard work and long nights pay off for you and your dad.
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Great to see the 55 on the road, great job.
Just saw you on Hooptie WC, love from Jonesboro, yall did great.
Hi Alex, Dennis here from Filer, Idaho. Love your show..thank you
I like that movie car and your car in front of the entrance there.... crazy how the turbo drains are so critical, I had 2 45° on mine and it would come out the exhaust side and that was with a level center section
What an adventure xx
Sweet 55 👍 like the two lane black top pic.
I think Dennis getting a little too comfortable in that passenger seat! 💤 🤣
its kinda hypnotic watching that driveshaft spin
This is Great!
I been driving a big truck for 20 years I been through the mountains all the way to Seattle in the snow it's awesome but great video of love to drive a hot rod throu there that was cool the spot of two lane black top you looked tired in some of video but don't worry you got Dennis next to you lucky you you have awesome dad and Dennis you have awesome daughter need more like you two in this world hay Alex stay fast lol
Cool 😎 it's done what's next ? You already won Dodge HELL kitty street race on accident but you did win . I'd count it too.. we're already back around for another race week can't wait to see ya there .. I packed up and rolled past Greenwood yesterday . Good luck stay safe
That cockpit view is sweet
The mirror is incredible!
5:35 cutest car kid ever! He's got a lot of weight on his shoulders.
He gets it done though🙌🏼
