Rotura is a beautiful park
Im so envious of your ride. I mean. My wife and I went to Rotorua last year and the biggest regret we had was we never had the chance to ride our bike on that trail. We only did the zipline and the luge. It was fun watching you.

How does Rotorua compare to Queenstown? The trails up there look way more flow and less steep rooty/rocky tech.
Did a month in NZ last year so both Q'town and Roto. Skyline Roto has 1/3 the trails of Q'town(probably less). But it makes for a quick turnaround on the gondola. Brilliant trails. Did two days there and could have done more. Mr Black is a MUST DO especially now they have added sprinklers 😲
ZQN has way more riding avail and the scenery is epic!
@@freekstylejim1 There's Redwoods or something too isn't there? I'm on an enduro so I don't mind a bit of a pedal here and there. Mostly after flowy jump trails. I also don't see work lasting here after this whole lockdown crap. So will likely need to move anyway.
@@_d33z I can't ride half of the stuff here anyway because it's too intense. I'm also only on an enduro (process 153). So steep and techy here (Queenstown). I want more flowy/bike park jump style trails.
@@timquain5341 Redwoods are SICK too. Shuttles are definitely worthwhile but you can still reach heaps without it if you're willing to pedal. Once you get up top you are spoilt for choice tech/flow/jumps. Weather only gave me two days there. Could have easily done 4. Eagle vs Shark is bucket list stuff.
Bought a Giant XTC Composite 1 years ago for $1200; MSRP was $2800. Lady bought it and said she rode it 4 times on the road. Looking at the brake rotors, it looked like she never used the front brake at all and the rear had only the slightest hint of ever being applied. The tires still looked brand new. If I had to guess, I would say the bike had less than 15 miles on it. Her asking price was so low for a 1-year old bike (at the time) that I didn’t bother trying to haggle.

Sean Halperin: You gotta admit she was smooth as hell. Smoothest landing of the 3. Doesn’t matter much having fun but smooth is faster in a race (everything else equal).

Sean Halperin: Ha Ha. Women in general are on your shiat list aren’t they? I’ve been there :) Right now I feel benevolent. Truth be told I reamed Chappetta out on something some time ago. I came across a Pinkbike series I wasn’t familiar with through a random YT recommendation. At the time I hadn’t heard of Chappetta and I misunderstood the intent of the video series. Through time I’ve changed my tune and think Chappetta is a damn good rider and is always looking to improve. She isn’t afraid to push her limits. She risks looking dumb (to some) and crashing in order to improve. I respect that. And because of that she’s gaining on her female competitors. She’s an EWS competitor out of Whistler. As for her getting cocky - haven’t we all felt that lol? When some feature first intimidates us and we end up conquering it. The adrenaline rush and feelings of accomplishment sometimes bursts to the surface.
