Bloody hell. JLC can make any part for any of their watches ever made, thanks to having the foresight to archive all their design plans. Truly marvellous.
Have you picked one up yet? I'm catching the JLC bug too. My next luxury watch will undoubtedly be a Reverso (still deciding on which) and then I fear I will want more after that...
@@mikec3454 if I might recommend, and should your budget allow it, the Reverso Duoface Classic is amazing. I bought one 2 months ago and quickly become a favorite in my collection. It dresses down to something very casual with the Casa Fagliano cordovan strap. Being able to go between a silver and Black dial, each with guilloche finishing on them, means this watch goes with most anything in your wardrobe. It gets the most questions and compliments so far wherever I go. People are always fascinated when I show them the flipping feature. Go try one on, I have a Large, but that was mostly my preference. I think medium has that more Don Draper feel, though.
@@BarkandJack thanks, you can check out the unboxing on my channel if you want, I was very much obsessed with the watch for years, but your video on it NOT being strictly a dress watch pushed me over the edge as I was feeling the same but just thought I must me weird :) I was so glad to see I'm not the only one 😁
JLC is one of those brands that has the "it" factor. Any true watch collector or hobbyist knows this, or they should for that matter. They ooze class and haute horology, yet they are extremely discreet and 98% of people wouldn't even notice it on your wrist.
I'm so glad that you love JLC. Like you, I mostly own Rolex, but the whole "investment/waiting list" discussion that surrounds Rolex makes it an often boring conversation. With JLC you don't get that, people just love them for craft and rich history. More please...such an interesting company, making amazing watches. Lovely video and love your channel. Wish you well in 2020!!
I've got a big soft spot for Jaeger Le-Coultre. I bought myself a blue dial Reverso Tribute small seconds this year. It's one of the (few) watches in my collection that is 100.00% a longtime keeper - I've even had the case-back engraved and personalised. There's nothing quite like them, IMO. It's kind of half way between Rolex and Patek - an elite product, but not crazily expensive.
Wow! Just wow! The way they save the old machines and can fabricate any part for any vintage watch is simply amazing! All heritage watch brands should be like this! Great video as always. Keep up the good work, Adrian!
As much as it can obviously be a dress watch, it also dresses down really well with a suede strap- unless you have an extremely manual/heavy job and lifestyle don’t be put off as it can handle it 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks Adrian, another great video. I am so sick of waiting for a Rolex just yesterday was thinking about a Reverso. Your video has not helped. LOL. Keep up the great videos and all the best for xmas. Cheers David
I did the same- gave up on the wait for a submariner and got a Reverso duoface plus a Seiko spb143 (with nice discounts, but both new with warranty) for the price of a new sub rrp. Can honestly say if I get the call for a sub now, it won’t change my mind.
I dont usually comment but hot damn this is a nice video...Keep up the good work. Thanks for showing a much more detailed content rather than you sitting down and talking to the ceo or someone boring. Double thumbs up
Wonderful video Adrian. I'm lucky enough to have three JLCs, two vintage, and one new and I love them, especially for the history behind the company. Thanks for this great little film.
Thank You so much Adrian for this wonderful insight into the Watchmakers watchmaker. Watch this and you now know just how amazing these small masterpieces of engineering we get the pleasure to wear on our wrist. Thanks again, Brian.
Jaeger LeCoultre deserves so much more appreciation than it actually gets. If you are confident and watch-educated enough to look beyond the ubiquitious Rolex hype you get some excellent watchmaking for pretty good money with JLC.
What a great video on JLC! Thanks for the insight into JLC. I had no idea the high level of craftsmanship that goes into making the Reverso until now. Also the ability to make any part going back to the first watches is phenomenal. I have the Duoface on my buy list, and now may have to bump it up.
I wanted to thank you for your content during the past year, I especially liked the factory visits. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, I'm looking forward to your videos next year.
Excellent! I have just gotten into the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand, and found your review totally fascinating Along with you unique style and brand of humor, much appreciated. The more I learn about this brand, the more I respect it! Cheers, Carl
What an amazing factory. To have to make your own instruments...incredible. Thanks for sharing this with us, Adrian. Merry Christmas from Tucson, Arizona.
Excellent stuff Adrian and your right some factory tour videos I have seen are sleep inducing. So short and sweet is a good idea. Have to agree on the two processes you featured, just incredible workmanship. I think every collecter hankers after a high end piece and JLC are right up there on my grail list anyway. Best not ask how you keep getting these invitations... but long may it continue mate. 👍😁
This is a great video! We were able to tour the manufacturer a couple years ago and got to meet Mr. Stéphane Belmont. He's a fantastic host and knows every inch of the place. Touring it was a life highlight for us. My wife and I own 13 JLC watches and an Atmos clock. It our favorite, and only brand we buy. It's the best valued, high end brand on the market. We're you able to meet Muriel Job? She's the only person in the company prepares the tension springs for the tourbillion watches. Thanks for posting this. Brought back great memories.
Merry Christmas Adrian. Been an avid viewer of your channel and I can tel you for sure in 2019 the best show is factory visit in Jager La Coultre. This is basically a movie showing inside the manufacturing process, machines, the manual works showing that they are basically watch maker. And the music is mind blowing. I am changing my first grail from Rolex Submariner to JLC Reverso. Keep your good work and hopefully in the year 2020 as the best year of CZcamsr. You have shown you can make your living from your hobbies.
Great video lov the brand. JLC doesn’t get enough lov. I want a Polaris no date bad. Keep the videos and factory visits coming. All the best to you and yours stay safe an warm happy holidays.
Thanks a lot Adrian for this visit ;) by the way I tried at my AD the reverso duo face (middle size) and I liked it on my wrist but it’s maybe to dressy... I stay with the desire to have a DJ one day, more versatile ...

“Horrible”..... Now I “need” a Reverso even more! What a place, what a brand - Im deeply impressed. Thank you for sharing this visit 👍
I felt the same when I was there. Everyone working there had reversos on.
Bark and Jack They should hook you up w a piece at least
Buy one immediately if you can, you will not be disappointed.
This 200 years + heritage of watch making in Switzerland in breath taking... I mean, can anybody compet with this ???
Clearly a top tier B&J video we have here. And all fans will have noticed that the second L in Lecoultre is NOT silent.
Thanks for watching Hervé. I practiced really hard to pronounce it correctly, but it’s really tricky.
Agree.....
Bark and Jack probably as difficult as properly saying Charles Frodsham for us French speakers 😉
Incredible. Stunning footage. Bravo!
Thanks a lot for watching mate. 👍🏻
Amazing. Even as a Mechanical Engineer, I'm amazed with their machines, technology and heritage.

I think this is the greatest watchmaker of them all. Much prefer to Patek& AP. I believe they have made movements to both of these brands
I think this is one of the best Reverso’s they ever made. Pure class.
What an amazing company! My respect and admiration for them just went through the roof.
JLC make fantastic watches and are very much underrated can’t wait for the next video 👍
My grandfather just gave me a rair gold date calendar made only from 1950 to 1955. It still runs perfect. It was befor they added the jaguer

100% gonna buy a reverso one day, such a cool watch.
Wow Adrian, that’s an awesome experience! Congrats.. hmmm.. I wonder why Archie doesn’t get invites like this?? 😂
