i have played drums for 45 years and i cannot accept that the two base drums are piggy backed with the add on base drums in front are really needed. i really enjoy seeing tony play i think he is the finest ever he plays the kit like a finely tuned harp with true speed and talent
For those harping on the kit you need to buy this DVD and see how Drum Workshop makes their kits. It's a first class company. It's in the special features. I had a set and as the wood matures they sound even sweeter. DW beside Yamaha and couple of others are the few drum companies that cross genre as far as drummer endorsements are concerned. Most others cater to one type of drummer.
Common Ground with Dennis Chambers and Tony Royster Jr. was hugely inspirational and motivational to me so I wanted to share this.... PMcG DRUMS - Intro (play along) by "Dennis Chambers & Tony Royster Jr."
@Vxbatera sorry, I'm not sure what you mean - I think Tony has had some great drum sounds in his career, I just personally don't like the way the drums sound here, its just my taste. take care.
@ndw9311 no need for insults :P the kit sounds pretty terrible to me - he's had way better sounding kits, like when he plays for Jay- Z, sounds pretty great. I think you're just taking it a bit too seriously, no reason to get your knickers in a twist.
