  • The largest motorbike manufacturer in the world, Honda, is preparing to introduce a number of innovative new models. They have admitted that work is underway on a legendary class motorcycle to replace the CB400. And the winged camp is preparing to present a new motorbike with a combustion engine at the end of EICMA 2024, which may have a 6-cylinder in-line engine!
Japanese media first asked about Honda's potential to create a street-legal sports motorcycle with a V4 engine to capitalize on the popularity of the RC213V, which is powered by the same engine and used in the Moto GP world championship. Information regarding the internal combustion engine and electric powered prototypes that will be displayed at EICMA 2024 was provided by representatives of the Winged Honda camp.

I've already got one, but I'm a bit skeptical that they would do this, but Honda sometimes manufactures a bike or car at a 100K plus Loss because they love motorcycles and hat greed. The Honda Rune and 2000 Spyder were a non-profit loss. My CBX was $4,000 in 1980 and nobody wanted one but me.
(not really true, but pretty damn close) The CBX has an air cooled 24 valves 6-cylinder double overhead cam motor with 6 carbs and can be made to sound like a Fantom jet fighter. Mine has an 1147 kit, multi-spark ignition it will go up to 10,500 revs in about a second or two. My Honda dealer usually tells me to come back in the fall if it needs a tune up and to bring in all the parts. I also know a Honda mechanic that has one. Mine's painted in IJN Battle flag colors and I'm making a jacket Kamikaze Pilot jacket to wear while riding it because you sometimes die riding these things.

I seriously doubt this. Simply not economically viable.

And this isn't the first time honda's made something unviable, think of the CB350F, or the OG CBX1000, they weren't made for the market, or the economical incentive, they were made, because Honda wanted them.

Not economically viable . . . Agreed. But I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
