    Since I am still learning all of the ins and outs of cultivation, I never would have thought about cutting off half the shovel!!

      With the big sweeps Chris, you cut off a wing. I don't do this with the danish tine sweeps!

    Always a good feeling to have a piece of equipment ready to go ahead of time. It can be hard to get away from the habit of preparing last minute. Looks like it should throw dirt nicely

      I sleep better at night with a sharp knife 😉. I bet it will work the 100 hp tractor...

      @@GeigerFarm not the kind of equipment I was referring to but nonetheless a perfect example 😉

    Super interesting that those small changes will make it flow better for different applications. Hopefully you won’t have to switch them all to the “morning glory setting” 😐

      It is always necessary to calibrate and tune😉. Every soil works differently 🙂, and this time/tooth combination is one I have never used before 👍🏻. Thanks for watching!

    Hi Jack. I didn’t catch the row gap between the cut wings on those 10 inch sweeps. Also, what depth are you running at now? Thanks!

    • @GeigerFarm
      @GeigerFarm  Před rokem

      I am pretty sure the distance between the shank, c to c, is 14”. That dimension works good for me as I throw dirt for weed killing. You can tighten that up but need to go slower🤷‍♂️. The depth varies between two and three inches. In the tall corn, I set them one hole up from bottom...3.5"!
