In all fairness, at 3:55 when Mr. Nimoy said his iconic ears cost $600.00, according to the "Inflation Calculator" - "$600 in 1966 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $5,617.83 today." Not exactly the paltry amount implied in the interview. But looking back, it was a worthy investment that did its part to help "Star Trek" stand the test of time.

Aw, I miss Leonard Nimoy. Not just his acting, which was great. But, man, he knows how to tell a story. I could listen to him for hours going on and on about this stuff.

The early Spock was harsher-looking than the later version, particularly regarding the eyebrows, which were more slanted and distinct.

I remember how Spock’s ears varied between the series and the various movies. I liked the series version better, how they swept up at an angle and then went straight up at the very end. Some of the movie versions looked more like bat ears than Spock ears.

Easily seen at the beginning was Spock's unique zipped uniform-shirt collar; the ears couldn't be damaged in putting on and taking off the shirt.

Was the MGM makeup artist the same one that did the pointed ears for the ultra evolved human (David McCallum) in Outer Limits a year before? They sure looked similar.
Other interesting question is if Mark Lenard (Sarek) was chosen beacouse they could use Leonard Nimoy's pointy ear with him .

This and Strange New Worlds is the best so far out of the Star Trek franchise 😉 in my opinion
I liked season 1 aside from the alternate factor which was unwatchable. I liked some of season 2 but it had more misses. Season 3 was bad overall. I think snw is good all throughout so far.

Nah, as McCoy said in one episode, his heart was where his liver should be. Vulcan anatomy was different from humans, but not completely foreign.
