This movie is beyond underrated.
Patema Inverted is a masterpiece of psycological drama and light romance, and truly gives you a sense of what it means to be afraid of heights.

It's been years and i still can't watch this without bringing back up old memories of someone i used to think about when relating to this song. I could listen to this song on repeat for hours i swear

Actually scientificly speaking. It would probably go the same way as paterna. Since the infant would be fed nutrition from its mothers body during gestation, a massive majority of its cells would have to be made of material of her alignment. They touched on it earlier, but when they eat food that comes from the opposite direction they get just a little bit lighter. (Unfortunatly I dont think that method could be used to transition someone like Age over to Paternas direction, since gravity plays too much of a role in biological processes, so the transition by that method would no doubt be fatal. Picture what happens when you hang upside down and all the blood pools in your head, except its your whole body being pulled in two different directions.)

It’s been so many years, I’ve watched this amv over and over again and today I was feeling down so I came here again. The nostalgia of me just in my room in my parents house watching this not knowing the struggles of the world, oh I wish I could go back to those times.

Well I didn't care enough to dislike but personally I'm not a fan of the song or the AMV even though this is one of my favorite movies.
I just wanna say that i discovered this amv 5 years ago and it captivated me. I went on listening the song on repeat but never got the chance to watch the movie. A few days ago I went to a screening of the movie where the the realisator was present. I've feared it wasn't going to be as good as i thought it would be but it's quite the contrary. So thank you 🙏

@@ripscriptic9324 someone did an experiment and went wrong, and some people were inverted from the sight of the sky, so they went inside the earth so as not to fly away, and the others stayed the same inside the earth but closer to the true surface of the earth and when two people found the idea they built that vehicle.

This anime is illogical, naive; in it are simple characters, they have a simple motivation. But I can not explain why I was so interested to watch it. Apparently, love stories will always find a response in the hearts of people.
P.S. Thanks to the author for the AMV.
It explains how things end up the way they do, it has good world building and environments, and it is heartfelt and sweet. And not every character needs to be a shakespearian master class.
I totally agree, BUT sometimes its good to watch something simple and hearthwarming :) even if it isnt super complicated. Thats my opinion ofc and sry for bad grammar.

best underrated movie I ever watched
I've seen this AMV many times already, yesterday I've finally watched Patema, I feel like it's an unfinished movie, but I enjoyed it a lot and the idea of the inverted world, I like things like this
I watched it due to this AMV as well.
The movie is great but does have a lot of holes in the backstory. The biggest for me was the time between the main story and the disaster seems to never really be nailed down in the story direction. How did they forget the real story within a generation? And things were all over the place in terms of decay and rebuilding.
(The actual time was explicitly stated in a computer message at the end of the movie. It's just the implied time seemed to vary from a couple decades to several centuries.)
Just watched this movie because of this AMV, both the AMV and movie are fantastic! Movie concept is super creative with constant twists to keep you engaged.
I appreciate that the AMV manages to not spoil much plot-wise as it's mostly context sensitive.

Totalmente recomendada, es una película relajada con pequeños pero justos momentos de acción, tensión y sentimiento, el arte visual es hermoso mucho más de lo que se ve en este amv cuidando cada pequeño detalle incluso del fondo y en cuanto a la historia juegan con tu mente desde los primeros minutos confundiéndote un poco pero al final todo cobra sentido. En serio vale la pena verla
Esta en animeflv pero te sugiero que no leas los comentarios hasta que la veas o te arruínaras completamente el final y por lo tanto toda la película y la experiencia de ir viendo todo poco a poco conforme pasan los minutos.

After all those years, I finally found the title of this movie. It's very nostalgic somehow, and now I have to watch it again.
Can't believe I've never commented on this, I used to listen to this so much during 2020, also the same year I found the anime. I was surprised that most people I spoke to had never watched it because It's such a good anime, definitely need to rewatch it at some point
