Bloody incredible, I think half of his equipment is controlled by his facial expressions.
Billy Bragg 8
lol
i read that from the first, now i m focusing on it. :d
omg haha
this! :D
Who is here during quarantine ?
I never get bored of this set
i appreciate his energy
The only thing boring me is the adds. CZcams is abusing, or is just me? This set is too cool, but I must see adds with 2 minutes!!! It kills the vibe!!!

I love seeing the screen vibrate from the bass. I'd kill the feel a sub again!
Im 36, have been listening electronic music since 1999, and hands down this is one of the greatest live sets i have ever heard.
You seen bicep at the printworks ?
I’m 51... listening techno since I’m 15 years old...this is really incredible...the sound is so good ❤️
i´m 41 and cried for joy listening to sleepless remix from stephan for the first time. i remember recording my first dj sets on fritz radio (berlin) on an old cassette recorder from the early 80´s. And then i drove my parents crazy, while listening the same tape continuously. I growed up with this music in the 80 - end of 90´s, and i know i will die with this music. I´m addicted to electronic music, because its clear and there are no limits in its arrangements. And you have to hear it loud to feel the beat in your stomach. The rest will do YOUR brain. Today we need more stephan bodzins than david guettas. So long
I'm 56 an I love this! It motivates me and moves me!
@@beastyboy7955 thats why we Love Techno, like that part with your Parents ( i done also stuff and damn loud:)) It´s Monday here and i dafug here that set again^^
Irgendwann kommt mir dieser Typ unter die Augen, dann werde ich demütig mein Haupt senken und ihm Lobpreisen für all die Gänsehaut in all den wunderbaren Jahren. Peace
this is what i call an artist .PERIOD.

totally agree
Could not agree with you more! Viva La FRESH
True
THIS GUY IS A FUCKING GENIUS !!!!
Luigi de Wanker
exactly what i was thinking!!
Heard all these sounds back in 94
Wheres the genius?
And sven vath or jam & spoon were the originators of story telling
-The genius is in the groove and feel, not the sounds...
This is absolutely incredible. A lot of electronic performers are content to go onstage with a mixer and CDJs and just play then mix their tracks, or even less than that, play and mix other people's music. I've never seen a Bodzin set before today, but his live manipulation of synths and macros on his controller to perform this set has earned my fandom. What a talent.
Since the 90`s Hardhouse label and so on
You have no idea of DJing don't you? If you do it the right way, it takes a lot of work. Unfortunately the best DJs often don't get the spotlight they deserve. Digging can take up extreme amounts of time! I don't want to attack you but please do your research properly before stating something foolish like that. I don't wanna disrespect Stephan, but I don't want you to disrespect DJs who work hard!
Have a nice week :)
@@johannmuller1314 Thanks for being somewhat respectful. I do own a mixer and a couple of old Pioneer CDJs that I used to practice on. In my 20s I was big into the rave scene and had many many friends who were DJs. They would spend a lot of time listening to other people's music and playing other people's music in front of crowds weekly, which I was a part of. I tried getting into it myself, but was always bothered by the fact that I was spending so much time mixing and beat-matching other people's music and never creating something of my own. Sure each DJ set is unique in the order you play and mix tracks, but it's akin to being in a cover band. Your performance of other people's music is different in the way you might go from one song to the next, and the way they are performed, but in the end it isn't your song. I became less enamored with DJing and moved into producing so I could feel like I was creating something new and unique, that was truly a work of my own. That is why I have so much respect for artists like Stephan, Boris Brejcha, Deadmau5 and so on. They create their own music and then perform it live in a DJ set rather than create nothing of their own and perform other people's music live in a DJ set. Not to be disrespectful but you have no idea about electronic music production do you?? The amount of time it takes to learn your DAW, oscillators, filters, ADSR, envelopes, automation, EQ, compression, delay, reverb, mixing, mastering, sidechains, parallel processing, music theory and the million other things involved in production is so much more difficult than skipping all that, letting someone else put in the work of learning the craft, and creating the music, then you just come along after they put in the work, sync to the beat, press play and fade in/out while EQing out dissonant noises.
There's was absolutely nothing wrong with anything the OP stated. It isn't that hard to dig for music. What is hard is training your ear for good music, and interpreting that in the best way possible. Which Stephen does quite well. So YOUhave a nice day, go be jealous somewhere other than here.
I always dig the vibe from this set, it feels cyberpunkish, the music of course but also the blue/purple lights, and even the fella with the handfan. It has a futuristic vibe.
Great observation, you're spot on! From the tunes to the aesthetics it all has that feel.
This man.. He takes it to a different level. His own level. Damn, I love to see his bald shiny skull bob to his own beats, to see his face express what he feels in his music.

So many emotions are expressed by Bodzin's sets. Everything is on point! It gets even better if you actually watch the video and see he really loves the music he's creating. What a legend!
Once in a while I come back here to be mesmerised all over again. Feels like the first time you heard it. Does NOT get old.
So much passion coming from Bodzin
I agree! He is in it 100% !!
+noodleface4 Always.
So much Bodzin coming from passion !
All hail Godzin!
+noodleface4 he has the passion faces, haha
Honestly, this guy is the best of them. No matter what people say, or will ever say. He is someone on a level like Mozart or Beethoven. If he would've lived at that time we would know him nowadays as one of big guys of classical music.
Да, но его золотое время это 2005-2007
52 мин это доказывает
@@user-kd5br9do4m well ... what? ^^
@@molochz you're right, Bodzin is ahead of them
@@molochz I had the opportunity, after a long time, to see him live at Afterlife Mexico. You have no idea what you're talking about. His knowledge of synthesizers of this kind is unparalleled. You say he only uses 5 melodies and applies a filter to them. You're crazy, my friend. This guy doesn't even use Ableton to compose in rows. He does everything manually with his equipment, and then to see that he performs his Live shows with a modified device that he himself designed and adapted to his needs so he could use it in live performances with Ableton through a script is something I've never seen anyone else do. And on top of that, you have to know that he was one of the pioneers in Melodic Techno, mixing melodic trance melodies with techno and progressive house arpeggios. This guy is insane.
@@molochz
The simple comparison is stupid, their styles, epochs, and contexts are very different. Mozart is known for creating classical compositions from the Baroque era, while Stephan Bodzin is an electronic music producer. It is evident that the techniques of composition, instruments used, and creative objectives are completely different. Mozart used complex techniques like counterpoint and tonal harmony to create his classical works, while Bodzin uses advanced technology for music production to create new and unique sounds. The only thing Bodzin might have comparable to Mozart is his sense of progression and structure, but undoubtedly, in terms of merit, both are extremely gifted in their respective areas. However, the historical context plays a significant role since Beethoven was someone who revolutionized and changed music in his time, and I'm not saying Bodzin hasn't done the same, but you can't compare doing something of this caliber in the 1800s to doing it in the 2000s. But for me, this is stupid. Music is made to be enjoyed, and it is very subjective, which is why there are infinite genres. Ultimately, the most important thing is to listen to it, feel it, and in a way, connect with it.
Dieses Set begeistert mich seit Jahren! Wahnsinnige QUALITÄT und KÖNNEN was wir hören dürfen, DANKE vielmals....zeitlos, endlos, unendlich...!

How has it taken me 7 years to find this set, and discover Bodzin? This is my dream to create and work like this. Stunning
Finally got to see this guy live after to listening to this for the first time 7 years ago. It was mind blowing, a 2-hour set wasn't long enough !
this is incredible. Best Boiler Room ive ever seen
+DeepDoseMusic yes me too
+DeepDoseMusic I agree, but you gotta check David August's liveset as well!
Mine'll be Karenn, love that kick
DeepDoseMusic kink BR Moscow
You can see Stephan's passion for the music, and you can feel this passion in his music. So many DJs these days treat playing as a job and lack this passion, which is then missing from the sets. But not here. This set is full of passion!!!
David August's boiler room is similar. He also plays melodic electronic tunes and he is really passionate about it too.
2021
It is still my favorite set.
Am with you
Here with you. Some people say Bodzin is the B-serie or the soap opera of electronic music as he emphasize tense emotional moments a lot and overuse creshendos. I don't mind it's rather the classical music of electronic music to me.
@@lm-vr4kg He makes art and there is no question. He is far from being a Guetta.. LOL!

Best set I have ever heard
It sounds perfect like he is recording it at a studio.

Klopt. Heb z'n hele set live mogen meemaken op LoveLand!! ((:
Behoorlijk ja!! 👌
80 minutes of pure genius and good vibes
4 years ago this was the future, 4 years after is still in the future. Maestro!
Stephan Bodzin to me is like remembering what makes me dream, filing that space which was empty from the beginning
This is easy to appreciate i think even if techno isn't your favourite genre it is just fantastic.
this is not techno
Pavel Gurecki Yeah not really.
This is a mix of techno and Progressive deep house
Whatever it is, he smashes it.
I would like to call it tech-house :-)
This whole Boiler Room set feels like a celebration of good music
I have been listening to electronic music since 1988 and this guy could play next to any of the greats of any year anywhere in the world. He's a class act. Producer, performer, DJ, crowd-pleaser, artist. Superb!!!!
I come back to this set alot. Amazing
I finally managed to see Stephan yesterday at Awakenings Festival in Amsterdam. It really was an incredible and outstanding performance. Never have I experienced 1,5 hours go by so quickly. He just brings so much passion and emotion to the genre and that's why I have so much respect for him. He is unlike any other artist you will ever witness and I can only recommend everybody who reads this to go see him now that he tours and performs so frequently. It's an experience and feeling you'll carry with you for the rest of your live. I can only end this statement by saying that I feel incredibly fortunate and blessed to live at the same time and near mr. Bodzin himself. Peace to all.
Nice one. Jealous brother. Still feeling it?
If you're looking for passion in electronic music, I think you'll enjoy KinK, especially his boiler room moscow live set.

It's called techno
i discoverd most fellas dont dance anymore thier too scared of looking like a twat on facebook they all take selfies too
Stephan Bodzin is like an energy ball of pure evil and pure love and both are trying to destroy one another at every turn but cant, cause if they did there would be nothing else to live for.

The Buddha if he reincarnated as a DJ. You can tell this man is enlightened by how he feels at one with the music.

Ive never seen a performance with so much emotion put in by the artist. Well done man.
This man comes from an another planet and he loves our planet;)
Im crying. Beautiful emotions straight from his soul!
What you guys see here is a DJ who really enjoys the music he is making.
The sound of the Sub 37 is so front row, center, practically dry with just a little reverb/delay. It’s like the main character in every track, plus he’s recorded a bunch of the prerecorded harmony layers with it, too. Such a sexy beast.
A large portion of the set is from his Powers of Ten album which he said is a ‘love letter to Bob Moog and the Sub 37’. It’s a mind blowing instrument.
