Here’s what I know… 1- she had an actual stalker coming to her parents house where she lived at the time and he left her death threats so she had get a restraining order and had to hire security. 2- she secretly bought a house away from her parents when she was 17 probably because of the stalker. 2- the 30 under 30 lyrics is because she is on Forbes 30 under 30 list. I think all in all this is Billie’s way of expressing how she feels about the whole being famous situation. She has to have a boyfriend sign an NDA to go out with her to make sure he doesn’t use her and go out and talk shit to the world about her. In my opinion. Maybe I’m wrong

And I’m a Billie die hard fan but sometimes I get so mad for her when I see the crap her fandom says… as if she owes them anything…. Drives me crazy!!!

I'm not sure about you but the beat after the cars went by swerving around her, matched my heart rate. She knows how to match visuals and lyrics to evoke feelings she's trying to convey. Gave me severe anxiety. Almost like a panic attack due to being watched and being told they were going to kill you huh.

The fact that she didn't even use CGI or green screen...
when the chorus hits, and the auto tune and distortion hits- its a stylized way to add anxiety to the lyrics. It amps the nature of the feeling per the lyric- "you cant save me but you cant let me go....." she cries out in frustration and desperation, while the base and beat drops with the auto tune to apply addtional pressure the anxiety she feels. It adds on to the feeling of the song and lyrics!!! they are an incredible duo!
THEN to add on the anxiety, the comotion of the cars rushing pass her. so emotional!
