OMG, your mom HAHAHHAA! Congrats on 100 subscribers! Great information because it's not always a given on what you really need to go into UI/UX.
I have always struggled with finding out what I would want to major in. Lately I have been extremely stressed because I am now a senior in high school and need to apply to colleges. I know I can apply "undecided" but it puts me at a big disadvantage. In order to avoid this, I have been doing a lot of research in different categories and ultimately came down to two things I would consider majoring in: computer science and design. However, most jobs related to these things did not seem to catch my attention until I came across the words "UX Designer". I had never heard of the term before but it made my spirits rise once I learned more about it. This video really helped me figure out the steps I need to take in order to become a UX Designer. I know it may seem like a rushed decision but it feels right to me. The good part about it is, I can major in computer science or design and if I change my mind I don't need to go down the UX/ UI Design career path. Thank you for explaining the different majors because most videos about UX Design do not mention this!
Hi do u mind if I ask what u choose to major in? I’m a senior too in the same position 😭😭
@@mychaelynn1516 ultimately I chose computer science but I’m still not 100% sure, it’s really difficult to choose
ME TOOOO i love it so much already.
Thank you so much!!! i’ve been lookin all over youtube for which majors to go in for this career!!! You helped me out so much!
I'm not in high school, or college, or grad school, but this is helpful! Keep up the good work and look forward to your 1k subscriber milestone.

you literally unravelled my mind, you've are the best man thank youuuuuu
Thank you for this!
Can u make a seperate video on game design making the following points :
1. What should you study before going to a masters?
2. The major skills to learn.
3. Some universities which are good for game design.
4. Opportunities in game design in the future.
5. Any particular courses which u recommend for game design.
Very good video, pretty accurate.
Sensation/Perception is a great psych course for UX. If you want to work with kids, Human Development is great as well. Abnormal psych is great for accessibility. Research Methods and Psych Statistics are musts for UX Research. My school also had a UI Design course that was cross-listed between CS and Psych.
Very curious, what school was it that you attended?

What are your thoughts on being a Sociology major who wants to get into UX Research or data analytics?
Thank you so much for the information. I studied graphic design at college and soon will transfer to a university. Could you say, which of these would be more useful in terms of increasing the chance of getting a job in different areas? Any suggestions for the universities?
Your content is great! Keep em up bro. I'm sure you'll flourish
Thanks so much! I really appreciate your support and will continue to put out more videos for you and the rest of my audience!

I'm thinking of getting a masters in Digital Media in the games and interactive media program. What do you think?
Hello! I have a question, is Marketing a good major to start UX design. My mom wants me to get a college degree so I´m frustrated...
thank so much
Hey bro can u suggest me some college's where i can learn the ui ux
What about economics BS/BA for us design?
Hi, I'm fresh out of high school and want to get into the UX/UI design field. I was thinking of getting a degree in marketing while also spending time learning design skills on my own through things like bootcamps and CZcams tutorials. I would also make some of my electives in some of the fields you mentioned. Does that make sense to do?
Tell us the colleges that offer interaction design 😊
now there are alot of UX course in internet what is different between them and a person who graduated from college?🙂
What about Visual effects ?
love the comedy bits lol

hi, i would like to ask you about ,some university for ux designing in japan, because i didnt found any ux design university in japan if you know can you please tell me
Hi! i'm currently searching for a major to help me get a job as a ui/ux in Japan too. Did you find any? i found out about Tama University of Arts but it was Information Design not Interactive or Interaction Design. Tokyo Polytechnic Univeristy also has a major called interactive media but idk if it's the one i'm looking for so i just wanted to ask did you found out about it? Thanks in advance!
I complete my bachelor's in computer science engineering and I wanna do a masters UI/UX.can I?
Programmers earns more than UI designers.
Does neuroscience count too? Thank you for providing these resources!
Neuroscience is a good major to pursue if you're more interested in understanding the theory and science behind how humans behave. Compared to some of the other majors on this list, it's more useful for understanding high-level connections, but I don't think it's as applicable when it comes to the technical and soft skills you'll need as a UI/UX designer.
From my experience, I have met people who have transitioned from neuroscience backgrounds, and my Master's program actually required us to read quite a few academic papers that were rooted in the basics of neuroscience and psychology.
@@DesigningWithDerek thanks! I’ve been struggling on what major I should choose as a highschool student, so this has been helpful
😂😂😂😂 your mom is so cuteeee
