- Okay took the front section the exhaust off a volkswagen to replace the flex section before the catalytic converter. Buy doing this I used a nut splitter to remove manifold nuts, removed 2 bolts on cross member an diconnected exhaust at middle section. This left the front section free to be removed. From the video you can see I cut the flex out an welded in new one but these sections can also be clamped. This a lot cheaper than buying a complete front section. Any questions please ask.

2023 rust never sleeps in the rust belt USA. On the trusty 2006 Touareg 4.2 v8 now flex pipe leakage both sides. Great help from you, Thanks !
I don't have a clue what you said but it was still step by step. Good video 👍

Holy lol
aja y si lo va a montar en el vehiculo y no cuadra? lo tienes que volver a tumbar y cortarlo?? 🤨🙄🤔
How did you position it correctly at 5:12 ?
Royale with cheese yep good question. if you just before end of video you will see a gas cylinder upside down with a cutting of wood, use this to get the manifold flange to the right hight from the cat box.
now I done similar repair last week to a tdi exhaust an what I done was to ly the exhaust pipe on its side on a piece of card board. with the exhaust on its side I scrolled with a black marker on cardboard to get the correct angle before cutting. To be honest the cardboard idea was better an less hassle.
That makes sense. I did mine and had to place the flexible inside the car before welding, and do a few tack welds to keep it in position, them remove it from there and complete the weld. I've also marked with a chalk the edge of the flexible at the exhaust plus a mark for the rotation. Quite tricky because once welded it has to fit real good or the flexible will be under stress and won't last. So wish they've put a flange between the flexible and the catalytic converter.
great videos . were you based in NI?
