In todays video, I head down to partake in one of the best running events in the capital. What an incredible day out. No PB for me but what an atmosphere.

Bloody brilliant effort considering the stomach bug and the heat… looked and epic race and fair play to the people that sent in footage, that was top quality!!
Thanks mate! I got to about 3km and I could just tell that I couldn’t push much past threshold effort. The footage literally made this vlog so very thankful!
Your videos are very inspiring. I have been back doing Parkrun this year after a hiatus of 5 years and your channel is giving me the motivation. 👍
Great running Ben! To get that result coming off a stomach bug is amazing work. It was good to meet you in the start pen. Hope the race footage helped. Keep up the great work with the videos!
Hi Ben! Well done bug and all! Glad to see you had a good day out. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Great footage and well edited Ben. Thanks to those who sent videos in.
Congratulations on a cracking race even though you weren’t feeling 100 %
Thank you! The sent in footage literally made this one so very thankful. I was happy with the time all things considered
Great work Ben! I as well don't like to race when it's to hot. But got to enjoy the sun and the good temps when we first have them.
Yeah I don’t like the heat either to be honest! Certainly makes it much more challenging
Stellar time Ben! Especially considering your stomach issues! Keep pushing!
Ah man! I didn’t realise you were running else would have tried to look out for you 😅 fan boy moment etc!
Was one of the lucky folks to PB on the day - such a great race ! Well done on a good result in non optimal circumstances. As inspirational as always!
Congratulations on the pb! I’m sure I’ll catch you at another race soon!
What a great day! Very challenging course and super hot… can’t believe Strava is telling me it was 20 degrees. Felt much hotter! Congrats on an awesome run when you’re not firing on all cylinders, mate. Jack 👍🏼👍🏼
It was definitely warmer! Heat was radiating off the tarmac
Definitely agree with you concerning Nick Kyrios. Congratulations on a good effort
Ben was lovely to meet you yesterday and i can see my orange vest in the video at the puresport tent. the fact that you ran the time of 32 mins and dealing with a tummy bug is amazing and also the heat.
Was lovely to meet you too Bradley! Thanks for your support
Nice to meet you briefly at the Puresport booth afterwards, had a great day and congrats on the time!
Thank you Sam, was nice to meet you too
Legend! I’m loving the buzz cut ✂️
Thanks cuz, cheers for that opening clip ❤
Really enjoyed this video. My son and I watched it together. He just ran his first 10k proper race at the mersey tunnel 10K and he loved the distance. He’s ten and ran a 40:48 which blew our minds. I ran a 45:34 so I was made up too.
Great effort mate! Especially with the stomach bug and the heat too🥳 (have to say I prefer the specs though😶)
That’s mate! You may prefer them be it’s certainly a lot nicer running without 😂
Backwards ball cap makes me run faster. Turn it around right before start is like hitting a switch. Showtime baby.
Love that 😂 I do that i sessions sometimes
Sport Mode.
I love this channel up there with Fordy Runs for me I have great admiration for both
Thank you Thomas
Nice run! Hope recovery from your stomach bug has been going well!
Thanks bud
That's still a great time Ben like the new haircut 😊
Thank you Tommy! My friend who’s a barber was round the other day 😂
Great running Ben! I was fortunate enough to run a 10K PB at a local race yesterday despite the heat 😀
Amazing chris, great job
What a great event that was for my first official race 😁 watching you all fly off the start line was unreal 👍👏 managed a 46min PB in the heat so really chuffed.
Great effort that! Must be in great shape if you pd’d in them conditions
@@BenIsRunning not sure about great shape 😂 just race excitement
What a day! Was a pleasure meeting you briefly!
Thank you Byron! Was nice to meet you too
Superbe performance. Bravo
Thanks halmo
Well done! Now we want shoe battle vaporfly 2 vs metaspeed sky + :)
32.58 is a humdinger of a time Ben - fantastic running considering you are are not 100%. Well done
Keep it up
Will do 😊
Ben ran 32:58 and came 21st. The guy in front of him that he was trying to chase down ran 32:57. If Ben had caught him he would have been top 20! Winning time was 29:02.
Thanks Wayne 👍
Not my day today Wayne, would really have liked to be competing for the top 10 :)
That’s 21 out of 7362 runners! Epic effort with a dodgy stomach. Did you catch who won? 29:02 😱😱😱

Homie got the fresh fade and line before the race 🔥
😂 nothing beats a pre race trim
Freaked me out...... who is that driving! wear some glasses ;) haha. Glad your feeling better, pity I ruined the result by checking Strava lol. Well run considering illness.
😂😂 hardly recognise myself!
Wld love to buy the puresport singlet
Any tips for young runners who get blisters when road racing even though the shoes fit
Hi Ben,
In about a month or two I am going to do my first 10km race. I have done a couple of half marathons (current PB is 1:28) but I have never done a 10km race yet. What is it like going down from 21km to 10km? Disregarding the obvious that 10km will be quicker splits, I have a bit of worry that I won't be able to figure out my splits to ensure that I don't hit the wall.
hey Ben. What size do you use in daily shoes - and in running shoes when you are on your long sessions ? Great effort in London Ben. Grateful whishes from me. Inga Dk.
Hi. I would like to know where you keep your bag if you're a participant without a team (is there a general spot to keep bags)
what was that thing you use to pin your race number on?!
Hey, other Ben here! I was the guy in the white/blue adidas singlet with you toward the beginning half of the race. Is it possible to get any footage from you that also has me in the clip? 😄🙏🏻
could you find bigger shades?
#ben #is #Running I have had a stomach bug this last week as well for the last 6 days.
Mine lasted 4/5 days hope your recovering ❤️🩹
good luck in Norwich
Thank you! Not looking forward to the heat though 😅
I ran a pb in my last 10km
Not pre race hot sauce on the eggs
Just ketchup 😂
those eggs were a disgrace.
nice race tho.
What was wrong with them 😂
The poor bikers looked like they were working hard lol
😂😂😂
Im a fan of you, but Im not a fan of Kyrgios. He's a talented player but frustrating to watch when he goes bonkers on court. Nadal and Federer all the way!! hehe Congrats on your run too!
😂 he certainly is a bit marmite
I find it very entertaining! While it’s not as professional I think every sport can use a personality like Kyrgios
First- had to park the car for this
Sorry for the late upload! Edits taken all day 😂
@@BenIsRunning no problems
you look better without those glasses.. no homo
Thanks Luke
Hey Ben wouldn't it be great if, through the power of social media, we could identify that plonker who stuck his tongue out in the opening segment of your vlog!
That would be my team mate Dan 😂
@@BenIsRunning well, the shortest manhunt in social media history comes to an end..
You went out at 30min pace for the first 3k
My pb is 30:56 :) got to roll the dice
@@BenIsRunning 100% mate, definitely a hot day for running.
Who are you and what have you done with Ben? The Ben I know wears glasses.
Someone call the Queen and get to the bottom of this.
😂 expect to see this Ben a little more! So nice to be able to wear sunglasses
Overpriced race that is not on power of ten
