I need a lot of conversion before going to the seminary. About 5 years ago I planned on going to the seminary but the world corrupted me and now I am back hoping I can just restore my relationship with God the way it was. Through my suffering truly realized that the world can never give me life. I beg you all to pray for me for my vocation.
Just received my pre-liminary application. Keep me in your prayers. Thank you for sharing this story, it helps a lot hearing how priests became priests!
Thanks Fr. Stephen for sharing. it is great story. God bless you always.
I celebrate my 26th anniversary of priesthood ordination on Wednesday, June 1. I needed to watch this movie for my continued spiritual formation and renewal. As an Army veteran, thank you for your military service and thank you for your vocation story.

Question: do you believe a 'priest' knows God, loves Christ and walks in Truth - according to the Bible - or do they not?

This is a lovely story of one man's vocation to the priesthood.

If you’re looking for an answer you’re not going to get one. Real priests are not going to argue on CZcams with strangers. They have more important things to deal with.

1 - there is no more sacrifice, therefore no more need of a 'priest'.
2 - 1 Thess 5:21 says to _'Test all things'_ - a man of God is always prepared to provide the answers - i suppose they aren't.
3 - Eph 5:11 says to _'Expose evil'_ - men of God do this with the Word of God.
4 - Christians are open, educated and quick to always share the Gospel with whomever asks.
you're right - no 'priest' cares to because they aren't of God.
there is no more _'important things'_ to do than to deliver the Gospel Truth to all of God's children.

I've been seriously discerning the Priesthood and Gods calling for me. This path started my senior year of high school after I had a teacher pulled me aside and ask about if I was thinking about being a Priest. Its something that I considered but never put effort into making it grow. I eneded up not acting on that right away. I graduated high school in 2014. I went to College afterwards and failed out. In 2016, I went back to school to become an EMT. Helping others has always been a calling I had. Id drop everything to help others. 5 years later, I experienced an event that I shaped me further and made me begin to seriously discern what I am being called to do. August 29, 2020, I get home from working an overnight shift. I got a call from work, I at first muted the call, but something serious clicked inside me. I answered my phone but was not prepared for the news I got. There was an ambulance accident, my close friend Tonya and a new guy were on their way back to the station from a call. The driver fell asleep and flew off the interstate. Tonya was ejected and died on scene. The time that followed was pure hell, so much pain and weakness. I locked myself in my room the whole week and refused to do anything. I left only to go to her funeral and then returned to my room. I was very depressed, I had enough of the suffering, I reached out to God and begged him to do something or I will. Immediately after I remember a warm feeling embracing me, and the pain and suffering stopped. I felt like I made a wrong turn, and began to return to see where God wanted me to do. The conversation I had with my teacher almost 10 years ago came back into thought very clearly. "Have you thought about being a Priest?" Since then I began to discern the Priesthood, I returned to college to study Theology and Education. I've been performing academically amazing. As each day goes and each meeting I have with my Vocation Director, my path is ver clear. I have a few things to work on, but in 2 years I'll be going to Seminary, at least thats the plan for now. God is in control.
May God bless you in your journey!
What an amazing story, May God guide and protect you Father and all priests around the world. 🙏🙏🙏

Beautify testimony Fr. Stephen. I am a retired Navy veteran of 30 years. I transitioned from being a sailor in the Navy to being a sailor for Christ by being active at my parish. Your testimony resonated with me since I had a profound conversion. I grew up fatherless and went astray living in sexual sins. Fr Brett Brannen ( To Save a Thousand of Souls)
Our Primary Vocation is Holiness Happiness is doing the will of God. Interestingly, that could also be the definition of holiness. The primary and universal vocation of every person in the world is to be holy-to become like Jesus Christ. Christ-likeness is the only success recognized by God. Or, as St. Bonaventure said: “If you learn everything except Christ, you learn nothing. If you learn nothing except Christ, you learn everything.”11 Interestingly, the people who take holiness seriously are also the people who experience the most happiness here in this life. Why? Because our holiness is preparing us for the supreme happiness of heaven, the true destiny for which we were made, not some glimmer of happiness which we might experience here. Holiness directly leads to fulfillment and human flourishing, and the entire concept of vocation encompasses both. The first vocation of every baptized person is to become a saint. While that may seem daunting, the good news is that this vocation does not require any discernment. The Church and Sacred Scripture both tell us clearly and definitively that holiness is everyone’s primary vocation. The Church on earth is endowed already with a sanctity that is real though imperfect. In her members, perfect holiness is something yet to be acquired. Strengthened by so many and such great means of salvation, all the faithful, whatever their condition or state-though each in his own way-are called by the Lord to that perfection of sanctity by which the Father himself is perfect.
@@lucialare7590 fr Brett Brannen ( To Save a Thousand of Souls)
The Vocational Pre-Determination by God When I was a vocation director, I would visit the Catholic schools in my diocese to teach the children about vocations. I explained to them that before God had even created the world, he knew them and he loved them. He already knew your name, he knew every thought you would ever think, he knew how many hairs were on your head, he knew your sins, he knew your good deeds, and he even saw the moment of your death and your entrance into heaven. And God had already decided your vocation before he had even made the world! Or at least, he had already planned to which vocation you would be called. When it finally became time for you to be born, God created your soul to go inside your tiny body, and it was created specifically for that pre-determined vocation. I call this concept the vocational pre-determination by God, or vocational pre-destination. If God is calling you to marriage, then he prepared your soul and gave you the gifts of body and soul to live out the vocation of marriage. If God is calling you to priesthood, then your soul and body were made with that vocation in mind. This will be an important hint for you as you discern. Look at the gifts God has given to you and where those gifts are best used to build up the Kingdom.

May the Holy Spirit continue to guide you and work within you to reach our young people who need someone to look up to who is real. God bless you for all that you have done and continue to do.
As someone who loves CrossFit, I didn't even know he was the official chaplain! I hope he still does it and I can meet him when I go to the Games this year!

God bless u, Fr., u r a testimony to all of us👍🙏😇
I will pray for you, Father and all the priests in the world.
It is one of the most inspirational testamony I have ever heard. I loved the way you mentioned Fulton Sheen. I also loved him, but Jesus I love the most. Blessings in aboundance to you. Amen
Thank you for sharing and thank you for answering Gods call.
It's hard to be co.mitted dedicated Catholic priest..May Jesus be with you always.
What a beautiful priest ❤️🙏 it does bring 😅to my eyes. God bless his heart and life 🙏 may it grow in the light of Christ for eternity
Thank you for sharing your beautiful story, may God continue to bless you, and may you continue to shepherd all whose lives you come into contact with. You’re absolutely awesome!
I was looking forward to watching this in its entirety. It was SO worth it! Thank you, Father, for being so open and sharing so much of yourself with us. I can't wait to share your faith and vocation story with our parish teens and adults preparing for the Sacraments. You are so REAL: your pain, your joy, your love for Jesus...thank you for sharing what it means to be a "bold father", father to the fatherless... I don't want to go on forever here. I am just very grateful for what God and you are doing together in your life.
Thank you so much for SUCH GOOD news!! 👍 we need good news very badly xxxx
This make me appreciate priests and not take them for granted. I often do ! I will start praying for them. 🙏 thank you for sharing.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful !!!! Thanks Fr. Gadberry!! God bless you !!
Love this young priest and his inspiring testimony. God bless him and through him, all who hear it. 🙏❤️🙏
Great witness to the joys and challenges of being a priest. So true that most conversions are more like St. Peter (two steps forward, one step back) than like St. Paul on the road to Damascus. Wonderful to hear your admiration for Pope Francis. Moving to hear of your connection to Blessed Fr. Stan Rother.
Young people, hear Fr. Gadberry's story, and then hear God speaking through the story of your life.
Thank you father! God bless you and your work for souls.
Thank you for this testimony father. I will pray for you. May our good Lord give you the grace to keep on.
Beautiful story. Thank you, Fr. Steve, for showing us how we can evangelize in our everyday life. And also for challenging us to go one step further in our faith life❣️🙏
It's that one step further that makes all the difference
I have just cried my eyes out hearing this young priest’s testimony. Thank you so much for this beautiful story of the “making of a priest.”
This is an interesting verse about priests
Hebrews 10 KJV
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Queen of heaven? 👸
Jeremiah 7 KJV
18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?
20 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.
What an beautiful loving axing caring young man my goodness the love u show the live bless u Beautuful kind soul Lucy Colgan from Ireland
Exceptionally inspirational God bless you ... I will keep you in my prayers and ask you to pray for me also I am 78 years old Strong believer in God's presence in the Eucharist and praying my family and I will be the Catholics we were called to be
why so much emphasis on actually chewing on Jesus' body, when the Bible doesn't give us any indication of such?
please read the Bible and study It - It can cure you of catholicism, Ma'am.
*Happy Sabbath!!!*
will surely pray for you and yours.
@@tony1685 ummm, read St. John's gospel again, with the Cathechism of the Catholic Church. Our Lord Himself says, "unless you eat My Body and drink My Blood, you have no life in you." And for that reason many left because it isn't an easy thing to accept if you have no faith.
@@missyroo i have read it, it doesn't say to chant nor pray to humans. and Ecc 9:5 shows that when a human dies, they _'know nothing'_ .
so Mary 'knows nothing' right now.
it's it also interesting that, rather than address what i've written, about direct and unmistaken Commands - you change the goal posts and the focus of our discussion and bring up another topic which the Bible is excessively clear about as well.
you've attempted to use Scripture i've posted to contradict or supersede another passage.
this isn't using integrity at all.
@@missyroo oh, and the 'catechism' of the catholic 'church' isn't in agreement with Scripture - therefore it's not inspired, according to Isaiah 8:20.
and there are theological additions which also don't match - therefore you're 'church' is guilt of breaking Deuteronomy 4:2, 12:32 and Revelation 18:22.
you might want to read those to see what this 'church' is inheriting because of it's tampering with Truth.
Father you film was inspirational thank you for your YES❤❤❤❤❤❤
My heart breaks for your origin story, Father. But, I cannot help but think about Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose." Thank you for sharing so candidly your path to the priesthood. May God bless you as you live out your life In His Service.
Oh be quiet woman. There is NO SUCH THING AS A SACERDOTAL PRIESTHOOD IN THE NEW TESTAMENT, and thus the man is wasting his life and YOU are wasting your time with your "broken heart" sympathies!
it's heartbreaking that anyone would ignore the Bible and join catholicism. truly a mystery and sad.
*Happy Sabbath!!!*
@@tony1685 who ignored the Bible, did I miss something?
@@tony1685 you would be extremely surprised if illuminated to the truth, the answers are there but you gotta put off the bias lens, I promise I know both views but Protestant doctrine crumbles even w/ scripture. Ask & the Holy Spirit may open your understanding
@@tony1685 I say this with love but the Catholic Church Cannonized the Bible during our councils, and many Saints starting in the early 2and Century believed in the true presence of the Eucharist, it was recorded in some of the earliest masses. And was written about extensively, God Bless.
