  • In this video I'll show you what a domain is, how it works, where to get one and how to set it up.
    The main websites I've used to buy domains over the past years are Bluehost Godaddy and Domain.com. After careful consideration I chose to stick to domain.com since they're usually about 10-20% cheaper than the other although GoDaddy often offers some nice deals when buying a domain for over a year.
    Note that in this video I already purchased a domain kianbrose.com and used the name kian-brose.com to demonstrate how the website works without actually buying it.
    If you have any issues feel free to leave a comment, I always reply to every single one

    You've uploaded two videos this week. Is everything okay? Someone is threatening you? Do they have a gun? Blink twice if they do.

      This series underperformed quite a lot on the channel so I made the decision to quickly finish editing these two final videos so I at least finish what I start and move on to more bot content

    I use IONOS for my domains, it’s pretty cheap for new customers on the first year, and after that (depending on the domain name) it’s still bearable in cost.

    DNS and Domain are the same? because I got confuse which should I buy

    • @KianBrose
      @KianBrose  Před 2 lety +1

      Not really
      A domain is the name itself, like xxxxxx.something
      A dns is Domain Name Server which is basically a big list of a lot of domains and the IPs behind them

    How long can it take to download the SSL certificate?

    • @KianBrose
      @KianBrose  Před 3 lety

      Cloudflare gives free ssl certificate through a flexible connection, no need to renew or set anything up. If you want to actually have one I recommend looking into Certbot

    ip for the website is 104.21.39.60 lol but cloudflare doesn't allow direct ip

    • @KianBrose
      @KianBrose  Před 3 lety +1

      well 104.21.39.60/ is part of the cloudflare network, it's what people can "see" when they try to see the ip behind the domain. You can't actually see your website on that ip
