    You guys are killing me here. 😆 I keep thinking about your VS-5RS for my C6 Z06...and these videos don't make it any easier! I love how you make your fitment suggestions nice and simple to understand. Thanks!

      The VS-5RS does look so good on that chassis 😅. Glad you liked the video, we're here to help if you ever have any questions!

      @@apexwheels Any thoughts on 305/30r19 on 11.5 and 345/30r19 on 13, both Toyo R888R tires.

      Sorry for the slow reply here. We don’t have any 11.5" corvette wheels unfortunately. In your case, we would likely recommend you use the 18x12 et46 front and 19x12.5" et55 rear with 315/30-18 and 345/30-19. If you would like to chat further with our fitment experts, please send in an email to expert@apexraceparts.com

    Love it, I really do but I'd be spending the $$ on getting the LS7 heads fixed first! Then your wheel after that!

    While my car is a C6 Grand Sport, this video just answered so many questions I have about the setup I could potentially run on my car since it has most of the Z06s suspension as well. The VS-5RS are gonna be next on my mod list as they look soooo damn good in your car gallery.
    My car will be lowered on Billstien B8 shocks and stock lowering bolts, will a 18x11 295/35/18 in the front solve the tire rub at full lock issue you described in the video? Also same exact setup in the rear as in the video as well.
    Thanks!

    • @apexwheels
      @apexwheels  Před 10 měsíci

      You shouldn't have an issue with 18x11" ET38 on 295/30-18 tires. Rub at full lock occurs due to the wider front 18x12" ET46 wheels.

    C6z06, in my opinion, is the best-looking vette.. the history of heads and cam only and destroy today cars is insane..

  • @UnknownProductions0
    @UnknownProductions0 Před rokem

    with the rear control arm issue, does that still happen with the 12.5's and if so will the stock lowering bolts maxed out be enough to prevent that? the car has the magnet ride shocks and im planning on keeping them until they fail.

    • @apexwheels
      @apexwheels  Před rokem

      Great question, the 18x12" ET52 will not cause any issue with the rear control arm. We do recommend adding in a tiny bit of additional negative camber, mainly for better performance. The camber required is still well within the stock adjustment range, so no issue with running the stock suspension. If you have any questions, please send in an email to expert@apexraceparts.com to chat with our fitment expert.

    @Apex: what about traction control and ABS errors with this setup? I want to run all 18s but I have read in multiple places that you will have computer errors because the car expects a staggered wheel setup. Do people running 18s fully disable traction control all the time?

    • @apexwheels
      @apexwheels  Před rokem

      Great questions! The car doesn’t know what size wheels are on it, just the tire height. While on track we do suggest disabling active handling for maximum performance, Our Corvette guy Cory has run with TC on during a track day (wet) and it worked just fine with 315/30-18 all around.
      If you have any other questions and would like to chat with Cory a bit more on the subject, feel free to send in an email to expert@apexraceparts.com

    I was browsing on the site and saw 18x11 et 38 and 18x12.5 et52 with 315 front and 335 rear, I have stiffer shocks and my car is lowered on the stock bolts, would I still have the control arm issue or is that only due to the wider wheels? Thank you in advance!

    • @apexwheels
      @apexwheels  Před rokem +1

      With the 12.5" wide setup in the rear you should not have any issues with the control arms in your current configuration. Jumping to the 13" wide setup would complicate things as we've stated in the video. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to us at expert@apexraceparts.com and our team can assists!
