No, it's the opposite. She did what she did because she's practical. She knew her son and knew that if she left him like that, he'd work harder to succeed and be able to get into an elite university.
Problem is that she's all about practicality... so she never wondered about the emotional damage it'd cause... she just doesn't understand it... it's almost robotic...
He just naturally has no talent in some things.. and he's hyper talented in others... his stats are unbalanced... mama had nothing to do with that..

Aftee getting to know about Shirogane's mother and his past, the reason she left him, Chika taking up the mother's role and teaching Shirogane little things patiently is actually so wholesome.

@@Viper_2312 Because her mother thought that Shirogane wasn't good enough/useless after he scored low in academics. She tried to educate him but when he scored low, she decided to leave him and his father. She tried to take Kei since Kei was moderately good in studies but Kei loved her brother and father a lot and refused.

@@DatNguyenSadesh Yeah...she is the reason why Shirogane is so insecure about his abilities and tries so hard at everything to be perfect.
@@DatNguyenSadeshshe was kind of materialistic, she left her husband the moment his business failed and was just interested in the money and status that papa shirogane had, the one of a wealthy and capable family, after leaving she wanted to take a child an raise him as the best of the best, taking him to the best schools and expected the child to be very smart and not to fail, Shirogane failed so she just dumped him and took Kei, but Kei left her some time after.
