I'd like to share my experience of teaching any sound or sound technic. The key to that i found in teaching sounds of a foreign language to kids who don't know yet the structure of organs of speech and etc. And it's the image / picture which can be found beside any sound. Like you said "this vibration is like a sheep sounds". That's it. So in this case i ask a person to imagine that he is a sheep and he mimics the sheep and the way is sounds right away. They same with vibrato. Just yesterday we were learning it. And it was the image of Montserrat Martí Caballé, a famous opera singer, that helped all of the students to find their perfect vibrato easily. We just mimicked Montserrat and that's it.
So the main difficulty is to find a proper vivid, colourful and juicy image that expresses the needed characteristics of the sound.

I remember in a TV reality show called K for Kishore, in which Amit Kumar told that Kishore Kumar, the favourite singer of most or perhaps all of us was scared of doing this. Hence it's rare to hear this in his songs. Although classically trained legends like Manna De sir, K J Yesudas sir could do it with ease. Mahesh Kale is one such great singer of these days who has demonstrated this with ultimate ease; hardest for most of us to perform a rendition of Aruni Kirani that's why.
And I hope we remembered that Today is Kishore Kumar sir's birthday: 04-Aug

Anuja - what a super video made on something that is not discussed too often and taken for granted. Your demos were enlightening.
In my personal experience, just wanting to sing with gentle vibrations and listening to most of the greats (like Kishor Kumar or even Nat King Cole, Harry Belafonte etc) and then practising it again and again helps me to somewhat emulate them.
Suffice to say, you've discussed a very useful topic and many thanks for that!

Jesus Christ! I so love the lisp in your voice! It's totally irresistible...and priceless! Ummaaaaa....Not that i've totally understood this technique myself, but my dad says that it's like the wagging of a cat's tail! When he/she/it/they see something exciting, or boring, or just being like a cat, which is so cool , and raaga-intense, and jazzy all at once, their tails will wag in a "laya" that will trill you, purring, hopefully included....

Orgasm sounds , the sighs, hums, croaks, and all beautiful intense sounds, suppressed by the conscious civilized brain, find a delightful outlet in expressive vocal shakes. All joys and delights of listening to good singing are wonderful resonances that bring arousal of our primal joys, incorporated in human DNA over centuries. There is indeed a scientific basis at molecular level, of all of our joys , connected to music and singing. Thanks for describing these. Singers must keep this elenent in mind. All music and singing , are sophisticated expressions of the orgasmic delights of our highly evolved primal brains. The human being is such a fantastic being, except for the fanatic religious nuts who suppress their joys and then become hateful monsters.

Does the claim come from islamic scientists? To my knowledge the whole universe is music (string theory or vibrating subatomic particles). Anyway, quite a strange way to listen to music and enjoy it. Peace be with us.

I wish you make all videos in pure Hindi, if your mother tongue is Hindi. We do not want to understand meaning of "Ma" through other language "Mother or ?Mummy" or can you do same episode in different languages, so those who wants to know "Ma" through same cultural language that use "Ma" The effect of understanding is very deep and soul touching when you listen and understand in your own language and culture.🙏
