I'm glad they brought up Merlin Olsen -- I just loved him and crush on him when watching reruns.. I got tears in my eyes hearing Patrick talk about him. He really seemed like such a great man.
And great to see Patrick. He seems so bright - -and really kind of not like an actor - and I mean that in a very good way.

Alison and Patrick, The Cheaters is my favorite episode.
One hilarious moment on the show that I never hear anyone talk about it in the episode 7x07 - Divorce, Walnut Grove Style. I have never laughed so hard as when Laura confronted Brenda Sue in front of Nellie's Restaurant and the key phrase was, " NO YOU WITCH, I FOUND OUT." They then fought and Caroline broke it up, but it's one of the few times Nellie wasn't a part of the fight, but had that big eyed surprised look on her face as Caroline was dealing with Laura and Nellie said, "What happened?" She then turns and looks out where the fight happened with the classic Nellie big eyed stare. Poor Charles never did get that picture window installed and as Nell's said, "I here it's a real PANE.".....LMAO
It’s so surreal hearing Alison’s voice in the background as I’m doing dishes at 54 years old. I mean, wow! ❤

I liked Patrick's character of Andy (and also Jag). I wish they had not cut him out of the storyline so soon. I liked the Garvy family. Did not like how Alice was taken out.
If I remember correctly, I believe they said in an earlier episode that she made the choice to leave acting to focus on raising her children. I’m not 100% sure, but I believe that may be correct. I hated when she was no longer on the show too though! Loved her character. 💗

I was hoping Melissa sue coming.. she had a recent interview and it just seems the show is way in her past .. seemed like no connection at all.. which is her right.. I just wished she knew how great she was in the role
Karen in an interview I saw on here a few weeks ago said that until the last two years, she didn't known how much the show meant to fans. I think Melissa Sue is in the same boat.. she's so removed from it all (and lives in Montreal now) that she doesn't know. I really think she just wants the whole thing to go away. And thats a shame.. and even more of a shame she won't come for the 50th. If any event that she should attend.. it is this one, as it may be the last time this many cast members are together.
Patrick looked enough like Hersha (Alice) to be her son.

I am so excited about this podcast . I just listened to the first 4 episodes on a drive from Ca to Az over the weekend . I too am a 1st gen ex Little Houser! Allison has been my fave since I read her book . I too had a crush on Dean as middle school kid. I am now desperately trying to find someone to go to the Big Sky Ranch event with me! Fingers crossed. I’ve been rewatching the series again recently & this is the perfect companion to my rewatch ! Where can I find Pamela’s Series ? I need to see it! Thanks for doing this . I watched an episode of Starsky & Hutch not long ago called The Plague - 2-parter ep. Patrick was in those 2 episodes. It was probably right before he got the LHOTP part.

Remember she left before the show was over so there wasn't an opportunity. For what little she did have (scripts mostly), she's donated them to various charities she's been apart of to raise funds. That and the wig was re-used on Alison Balson (Nellie 2.0 aka Nancy)
Loving this channel and all the interviews. Sorry, but I do have to mention this, maybe it's an American thing, but constantly talking over one another and interupting, especially in this instance when Patrick was trying to answer a question, is really irritating and not to mention rude. I do wish you stop it. Thank you
because we are basically zooming while recordig, we cannot hear when someone else is talking a lot of the time. The sound while recording is not as it is when you listen to the podcast. It's not intentional!
