Why would they waste that time making an entire set of temporary teeth for less than 24 hours?
Hi Dani, we create temporary teeth for 2 reasons. Firstly we create them so that the patient has some teeth to go home with a few hours after their surgery ( as the patient will get their teeth 24 hours after surgery). This way they have some sort of teeth to eat soft foods with. Secondly, the temporary teeth are pretty much the same as the final teeth in terms of the shape and the fit. Therefore, if the temporary teeth don't fit exactly or there is something wrong, then we know to make adjustments to the final teeth.
