I've watched lots of Doyle's videos ... but I noticed on this one he had me smiling the whole time. Tommy Emmanuel said that he likes to play to make people happy -- Doyle's playing does this when he plays this kinda stuff ... but arrangements like his Sacred Medley makes me cry...just amazing.
Have seen Doyle live three times. He promoted Taylor guitars and did the guitar store shows for them. Simply incredible always. Got to help him set up once. He used a Sedona tube amp actually. IMO, he and Tommy Emmanuel are at the top of the list regarding acoustic finger pickers .... and most other guitar techniques. Monsters both. Doyle is truly humble and just a real nice guy ... no ego. Those tips at 6:20 ... open strings ... a real gift for players. Dazzling player. He has the gift!
Doyle is one of the best Chet players I have ever heard in my life. Poor People of Paris; it is my favorite Chet song. I can play it but nothing fancy like Doyle.
He can make any old box sound amazin... Not dissin Taylor (I've got one and it is signed by Doyle, really..)... but...Bet he's got some nice Martins and Gibsons at home.... and a Telecaster or seven.... and probably a top end Yamaha An a fridge full of pies
Doyle has much too much focus on speed, not enough focus on quality and musical purity. That is the big difference between Chet and Doyle. Chet always emphasized quality first. Chet could go super fast but he never had to.

Smiling in Texas, God bless.
I'm so impressed with his smooth diatonic scales and open string methods. Really a master like Chet 🤯
Well back to lessons again thanks Doyle great workmanship 🇺🇸🎸🎸

The speed (& precision!) the first 2 minutes is simply impressive beyond description...
As I played this video at home, my own guitar quietly got up and tiptoed out of the room.
Dang this brother is BAD! Such a Slammin' guitar player! Awesome and very disciplined! You GO my Brother
He's a phenomenal guitar player.. unbelievable technique.. possibly the best I've ever seen..
The Danny Gatton of acoustic guitar!!

Doyle rules!!!!!
Why haven't I heard of Doyle before today? Amazing playing.
Kencomp1 Possibly because he is a Christian and is not in the main stream of known guitarists but he sure beats the hell out of all the rest of them.
+Kencomp1 I was just thinking the same today.. What a day!!!
sick play

anyone knows what is the name of the song he starts at 4:00?

Being the fastest guitarist should not be confused with being a great guitarist.
Bob Hochstadt you’re so correct. Doyle focuses too much on speed when he should be focusing on quality and purity.
Steve Winslett are you serious? There are many songs where he focuses on quality and purity.
Been taking picking lessons from Roy Clark, eh?
no way!
omg
Batman? NICE!
... No comment ....
Batman @ 2:50
10 people switched to bass
Just burned my guitar!!!
