@@Ellis-zr1qd I don’t know much but we have to live in ‘now’ I guess. By that standard, every territory/country has a history, even the handful “1st world nations”, but again we need to move forward. Well! In our case, you know what happened in 2001 but we can’t go around throwing that to the world
@@lepardla yeah, I get your point, Bhutan is a beautiful country but hides behind the distraction of gross national happiness, I’m all for a nationalistic country wanting to preserve its culture however restricting religious freedom and forcibly removing minorities from the country isn’t the way to do it, not to mention it’s hypocritical tourism policy
@@Ellis-zr1qd exactly, that’s what I am trying to say, every nation has a dark history and Bhutan shouldn’t be an exception.

When PM said, "We are the only country so far that promotes happiness”, I sensed to remark that “GNH senses only after government of Bhutan addresses her refugees’ problems. There are about 150 thousand Bhutanese refugees forcibly evicted by Bhutan. They are suffering. Suffering ….and suffering….and they love Bhutan more than anything ....
Hello kumar please do research b4 u speak about our country...we have more than 1 lakhs Nepali Bhutanese... and u can ask them question them....our govt never forced them to move away frm country....because of their greed many people went to Nepal as refugee bcoz they get 3 dollars a day from UN...since then refugee increased from five thousand to more than one lakh...so UN stoped giving dollars...some got in US...some didn't that's y those who came out frm Bhutan n didn't get to go US is barking a lot saying we want to come back n we r driven out forcefully 😂😂😂you guys r such a loser

Bhutanese government established a treaty with Nepalese government to take Nepalese skillful workers, teachers, builders, doctors, farmers, advisors etc to supply enough men power and skill needed to build Bhutan and also the treaty state that the people will be accepted as National citizen with citizenship and will be granted all the privilege state can provide. The document copies of treaty between Bhutanese and Nepalese government remain on both side to this days.

However the suppression of Bhutanese government indoctrination over diverse form of religion, culture, custom brought by Nepalese people was the reason that people revolted. It was violation of human rights resolution in a first place. There was no freedom of religion, speech or practice of one culture. But the government forces them to into indoctrination.
Then people stand against the government for their rights and the consequence is before us.
