- In this tutorial, I show you how I recreate this flying orb with wavy trails animation segment from Flatwhite Motion's "Meizu - Aicy" piece. I first discovered it on Behance. I was really astounded by everything in that animation. Each scene seems so fun and exciting so I decided to recreate one and learn from it, the next thing you know it's a tutorial! Enjoy!

tho I think the 'Direction' of 'Wave warp' should be the opposite (0˚ to 180˚)
cuz the wave looks like its going 'into' the orb unless it was intended

Cool tutorial! but what if i want to rotate tail? How i must to do it if i want fluid motion of rotating tale
hi, is it possible to parent wave wrap effect to the object? Let's say the effect is already applied and it's moving the way I want, but I just want the object to be connected to the layer with wave wrap, but this object shouldn't have wave warp effect.
could you please explain how does "freeze on last frame" work ?

how to do those background circle thing?
So ive got my wave warp set up but it just won't pin to the top of the triangle.

Sir, is using color gradient is a bad idea in after effect? coz I can't find way to solve color banding ..
to fix color banding, you can work on a 16-bit project or add noise to your composition.

hell yeah thanks! Yes, it is a blue yeti, and I have been trying to solve that annoying bg noise. How do you fix it? I read that using an external USB dock will help, but that didn't do it for me. It is a mic I have for 5 years.
