    Very nice order! Love that McCaffrey gold optic 🔥 Great time to get that one back. Some very nice hits! Sorry about the Ohtani’s…I imagine they’re going to be tight on those for awhile to keep the pop down a bit.

      Appreciate it! That centering on those Ohtani’s is basically 60/40 left to right. Lots of copies that look like that too. Got a little to comfortable sending those in expecting it to pass as a 10. PSA came out with their reports not to long ago and that bowman card was one of the highest graded cards last year. So it’s probably a good one to stay away from. Thanks for watching!

    Helluva return brotha! Love the cards! I can't believe the Brady Victory rookie went from a psa8 to a psa10, thats crazy! Not much consistency with them huh.
    By the way, do u do group submissions or whatever? Trying to find someone trustworthy to submit thru

    Overall a lot of 10’s! Do you do anything in particular to prep you cards for grading?

    • @macstener5295

      Just clean them up if need be and do what I can to make sure the corners, edges and surface are as good as they can be. Also go through a decent amount of cards to find ones that are 9 and 10 worthy is probably the biggest thing. Overall nothing out of the normal id say anyway. Appreciate you watching.

    Wow. Your amount of 10’s staggering! I feel like PSA has been getting tougher to gem recently but you’re def proving that theory wrong. Are you buying ag card shows or RAw on eBay? I got killed in my last PSA submission

      Primarily eBay, some at shows and shops too. As long as you get a consistent grader it helps. 9s and 10s can usually go either way and the vast majority of 10s have some issues. But I should have an idea of what the card is worthy of getting. So ultra modern I’ll send in cards that I know should be a 9 or 10. The 90s and 2000s stuff a lot of that I send in hoping for 8-9s, some are 10 worthy but just harder to find. Trying to put together a Vintage submission now too and it’s so hard to look at cards and try to determine if a card is a 3 or 5 or what lol but I’m enjoying it.
      But PSA can just be inconsistent, to much volume and employees. I haven’t noticed the grading change really but you can definitely have a bad order where a grader just leans towards 9s on everything. Just knowing what your card should be goes a long way.

      @@macstener5295 thanks for taking the time to reply! I did have quite a number of 90’s in my last order but even got a 5 and a 6 on cards that I thought were probably 8’s. Maybe need to get my eyes checked too tho lol do you ever crack and reslab with PSA? I’ve only tried once and hit a 10 on a Jordan but got killed on a few 9’s too so I was reticent to retry. 90% of the cards I keep for the PC but so gratifying to hit 9’s on older cards and 10’s on current

      @@MattyBoy23 yeah I crack out a decent amount. If I’m confident in the condition and it’s worth it. Its all just the opinion of a certain grader. It doesn’t really bother me to much though because it goes both ways. Especially now a days, I feel like I get so many more cards that are over graded. A lot of these graders let so many surface scratches on flaws go and give it a PSA 10. I usually get rid of that stuff. And when I buy PSA slabs I inspect the card and buy the card not the grade because there’s just so many 10s out there that don’t have good eye appeal at all. I’ll take a 9 that looks like a gem over a 10 that looks like crap any day.

    2020 young guns especially series 1 are very hard to grade

    • @macstener5295
      @macstener5295  Před 8 měsíci +1

      For sure! Makes a 10 that much sweeter I suppose. I struggle with 2020. Specifically Jason Robertson young guns. What’s up with a lot of copies having rounded corners and very few having sharp corners? It had to be a factory thing, they don’t have wear on them or anything. They are just slightly rounded. Not sure if it was a hobby vs retail thing or just different print runs or what. I assumed they were produced like that and have gotten a lot of 9s and 8s. But if you look at 9 and 10 examples on eBay, the rounded ones don’t make it into 10 holders.
