Adventure Elliot is a bilingual travel vlogger (English and Spanish) with a particular interest in the Spanish speaking world. I enjoy taking adventures - big or small - and my goal is to show the Spanish speaking world 1 video at a time.
The goal of my channel is simple yet complex: I want to document and share authentic & educational content of anything related to Adventure Travel, Geography, & Language in the Spanish-speaking world. It's kind of a loaded topic, but it allows me to never exhaust my creative outlets. The truth is, I've always been extremely passionate about what I'm doing on my channel, but I never properly documented it when I started adventuring as a younger man in my college years. @Mongoose 1980 madrid is the best capital city in Europe.. but in Spain? That’s subjective. People will argue málaga, Granada, Sevilla, etc for various different reasons. Personally, I didn’t like the climate 2/3 of the year in Madrid, nor the rising rent prices, but I really liked many other things. Madrid al cielo, todos los caminos van a madrid
@Mongoose 1980 you’re correct.. but what’s physically visible there in malaga are the Roman ruins, the moorish alcazaba, and the Castillo de Gibralfaro (catholic).. no Visigoth remnants in that part of Málaga

.. great video. if a person isn't from a bustling city like New York or similar, Madrid could hit your senses like a ton of bricks. the enormous condensed crowds , hundreds of taxi's, and how one could ever park their car or try to leave with their car being boxed in, if they ever own a car..definitely an anxiety level that needs to get used to. The flip-side of things, food varieties, attractions, life-vibe, shopping, museums, parks bring the balance I think. I personally would settled for a medium size city and even those i think might be becoming kinda heavy, but loved Madrid.
The most important thing about Madrid is that in spite of it being a massive city, it’s still very well organized and safe

Im From Washington, DC that was designed after an European so if you are not from DC You would have an big culture shock lol
Madrid itself is not a massive city. Look at the size of the population within city limits. Haven't checked lately because used to be around five million people, but might be a few more by now. It's just more crowded in the center and downtown. It's mainly an apartment buildings city. It does look like everyone dresses nice there, because usually do of all ages, conservative classic modern, only tourists wear short pants, and usually always men in long sleeve shirts, unless young tech types or just because young hipster people, like my son, the T-shirt. If working in anything otherwise, long sleeve shirt, rolled up a bit in hotter weather. A basic blue blazer is usually a male wardrobe must, but can even be worn with blue jeans and a T-shirt, but leather loafers, no socks, (unless men at work), or nylon stockings on women in warm weather. Alot of women wearing some heels all the time. Why looks like a generally attractive population, because groomed hair and clean cut. Older women beauty shop hair as much as possible, especially around mid thirties. Traditional Spaniards. Period. Any cities in Spain, and regardless of politics. . Now, on beaches, it's where can wear much more casual clothing, bohemian, and even let women's hair be more natural if wavy and curly, because still can be seen as unacceptable, unprofessionalism in cities, unless young women. Spain is different. Madrid is the pace setter in dos and don't dos, but also depending on what other important cities like Barcelona or Bilbao.
Madrid is still tame compared to New York.
