Lyx also made the mistake of trying to attack the wall on Ze Wall in TTL. The reason elevation doesn't matter in tower wars isn't that the damage is low, but that secondary projectiles aren't affected by elevation. Damage affected by elevation is tracked as float, not rounded to integer. The real way to succeed with the petards in the last game is with a siege tower! Rams and siege towers (and probably other units) can both block arrows from fortifications, but siege towers are taller and so more effective. You could put a siege tower in front as you move petards directly towards the castle on the left. Once they reach the base of the castle, you then move towards the TC. Presumably, this would also work for something crazy like killing a castle with mangonels, though it might be hard to trick the siege tower into standing still.
Yeah, this might be feasible with the recent patch. Before that, siege towers automatically moved away when shot like villagers, which made them extremely hard to use for blocking projectiles.
@@davidgretzschelcommunicati1630 I try to pay attention to things like that because I don't have a working copy of AoE2. Nice to have confirmation of what you can do now. One thing I wondered about was putting them on stand ground or no-attack stance; I sort of remembered being able to do that with rams? Possibly if you grouped them with another unit; similar to how you can make a king patrol if you group him with another unit (maybe selecting that other unit second) that has the patrol command. There was actually a recent game, past few weeks, where a 2k+ player used siege towers this way, to block tower projectiles; can't remember if it was Phosphoru or a higher-rated, like 2.5k+ player.
i whould get so tilted after those game 1 walls. usually i like those weird out of the box plays, but losing to monk treb when you go for light cav AND heresy is insulting edit: the game 4 was worth it though, by far one of the best games of the whole tourney imo
@@mrkirby8622 this is how it looks lately, since the beginning of this year/maybe since December, without any blockers you get as much advertising as the video itself, in short videos like up to 5 minutes long, sometimes there is more advertising than the video itself (because you just got two unskippable ads, 4+ minutes long) )
I pay for premium… 100% worth it imo. Not even just for ads, but listening with the screen off. Spend more time watching CZcams than any other streaming platform…

Dave, I live in Europe - in this clip I had 12 blocks of ads, 5/8 minutes each, easily an hour 45 minutes, of which about 1/3 was unskippable.

Im watching from germany - the longest unskippleable ads here are like 20-30 seconds.. 5to8 minutes? My condolences..
