leave him do his thing. don't like it personally, as its just too overkill. I see a lot of people thinking of getting into this style, I would say for sure this will break your bank and also the time it would take to learn the process.

  • @stuARTvideoproductions

As an experienced wedding videographer, this is mind blowing. This set up is the kind of thing you would do if you asked yourself "what would I need to do to create the best possible wedding film?" - the amount of audio and time syncs gives me major anxiety haha - controlling the lighting at the reception is next level! I wonder if Justin gets any resistance from wedding venues and even DJ's who like their own lighting? - I assume this is part of the consulting process when booking? I've also always found it hard matching colours with different camera manufacturers, so this is also interesting. Justin is definitely next level, and it is inspiring to take a few hints here and there to improve my own end product. Story telling at its finest.

  • @honeybearfilms

The thing that always jars with me about filmmakers like this is that they're spending all this money on gear for lighting, various high end cameras etc. But then they're using a 24-70 2.8 photography lens. If you've got that many cameras, use some primes, use some cine lenses, use some vintage lenses. Bring some character to the work.

  • @RandumbTech

This was way over the top. Not my style, but hey, if you can get people to pay for it, good on you. I much prefer a documentary style - report on the story itself, not become a part of it.

  • @davinshi.visuals

To all those saying his style isn’t appealing…good. He isn’t trying to impress other filmmakers, which a lot of other filmmakers try to do. 😂 one thing I know for certain; HIS COUPLES love the final product. That’s what matters. His style is a masterclass in its own of leaning into a niche and continuing to attract your ideal couple.

  • @jej3films

The collab we didn't know we needed but always wanted 🙌 Let's get a part 2 in the future!

  • @dc-cs5hx

This is just the difference between a wedding film and a videographer he’s being a film maker.

  • @f0t0b0y

His energie’s contagious. There’s a lot of chatter about this being overkill. As a DP in the corporate world, this is a very light set up. It’s an impressive kit. Curious how much he charges, I’m guessing minimum 12 K.

  • @alexandrubruda

People complaining that it’s too overkill don’t understand that there’s a completely different market for this, that they’ll most likely never even get close to 🤣 I’m sure Justin’s bookings are through the roof with couples who WANT this level of production. You can get similar results with some FX3’s and 2 lights, but this is the high budget version of that, that people pay extra for.

Very cool behind the scenes for new creatives to watch. Wish I had this kind of material when I was young. I learned from books I bought at Barnes & Noble while using gear that was 20 times lesser quality. Gear today does half the work for you. Thanks to Justin for opening himself up and revealing his style.

  • @ItalianBroski1

I love his energy. Been a big fan of Justin’s for a while, however I never knew how his style translated. Being a wedding videographer for 7 years. There are some great take aways for me and things I can implement. The out of the box thinking with gear, lighting, headsets, and Audio is something that really opened my eyes to how he does things. Biggest takeaway is him controlling the light, and him not settling for the norm is amazing. Second takeaway would be how he keeps track of the story. Which is crucial.

  • @fireandiceuk

The bromance between you two is starting to reach "Rocky III" heights & we're here for it! ❤

  • @lowerleftside

You should do a review of this wedding film like you normally do.

Justin is incredible, he’s the reason I switched to LED to light my receptions as a wedding photographer. Gelling my flashes gave me a headache. Just light it and shoot without changing my camera settings on both cameras 😊

  • @patrickfalls6819

This was a fantastic BTS. Justin, you did an amazing job managing your level of production with two people, and Matt was an awesome guide. Thank you, Sir!

  • @HenkvanderVelden

Props to you Matt. The amount of work in the video (even getting the BTS shot and inserting the final shot!), and so much explaining. Love it!

  • @McRState

I know this will never be my style of wedding filmmaking, nonetheless, i freaking love it and respect it. The attention to detail from justin is bortherline cinema or big budget documentaries. And to think HE is the one lighting and setting everythin up is just CRAZY. This is amazing.

  • @lombasfilmco

“ What time is the ceremony?”

  • @dathofilms

Editing that wedding must be one crazy job 😂

  • @michaelhamilton4711

LMAO!!!! I got to work with Justin out here in Odessa, TX. Amazing time, so professional, and the best thing about him is the gear that he brought for sound. I'm a DJ and sometimes the videographer/film maker tries to just plug into my speaker and doesn't have the knowledge on how to get better sound from my mixer. He was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
