In all those years, you don't even know us EA...We're INTROVERTS, all the "multiplayer" experience we can handle is the welcome wagon.
😂😂
If that much. Most of the time I just go out get the fruitcake and them tell them to go!
I mean, I watch twitch streamers live and do gallery challenges...so that's kinda socialising.
Seriously!!
they don't care about the player base at large, only about the "whales" that suffer from addiction and fall victim to the evil psychology of microtransactions and their precious precious investors.
FREE TO ENTER, sounds like casino terminology…
Omg you’re right! You can go there and not spend a cent but you’re just going to be standing around watching everyone else have a good time…
That’s what all games have become - addicting their players to basically gambling, it’s so gross and should be illegal, especially since most players are younger than 18 and are not aware of the tactics being employed
It's not gambling. Its surprise mechanics - EA

1. Find a job and earn INGAME currency ( use real life money to buy coins instantly and speed up the process.
2. Fail to manage your income properly you die of starvation for example
3. This model sucks? Yep you say that now but once they ENTICE you with all the gameplay features it will encourage you to grind and maybe even spend real life money!
4. They will allow you to make loans at a bank either you repo items or the game ends if you cant back. They will add LEND FROM A FRIEND feature to further entice us
5. You will shopping not only for food but EVERY and ANY ITEM you see
6. They will use the same model of manipulation to get you to spend money in sim5 as they did sims4 by appealing to your VISUAL THIRST making the world look soOo pretty and OPEN WORLD which you been begging for which will be the LEAP for most players to enter the rabbit hole which is sim5
7. They already learned from their mistakes in sim4 and they will PROPPERLY introduce their MMO in sim5
8. BE GULLABLE as you were in sims4 THEY WILL make you spend that wallet if they already doing it now with sims 4 what makes you think you have a choice with sims5 THEY HAVE POWERFUL TOOLS OF PERSUISION!!! GAMBLING is successful for a reason
9. ALL we can do is save up money because you wont have a choice base on history and past events WE ARE TOO easily influenced they tested us in sims 4 thats why they KNOW they can get away with ANYTHING come sims 5
10. START PREORDING your package whether its the ACCESS to 30% content 60% content or the 100% content per money package. YEP thats how it will be haha
it is! lol
that's all that microtransaction riddled games are. Gambling.
I miss being able to buy a game and just own the whole game in one purchase. the more I hear about sims 5 the less I want it.
Ikr, even buying a completed game and having the DLCs add onto an already great experience that don't require you to need them unless you really want the bonus stuff was good times. If I wanted monetization and shit in a sims game I'd just play Sims freeplay. :/
You mean you don’t want more DLC with your DLC?? 😂 I’m scared.
YES!!! I miss the 90s and early 00s. My childhood and teen years of gaming.
Maybe they're just trying to get us to stop complaining about TS4 by giving us something worse 😂
im dying, this made me laugh a bit too hard
Sounds like TPC 😭

That’s a pro gamer move by EA for sure..
This was their plan all along!!
'Free to enter' sounds ridiculously worrying. I am imaging almost like a mobile sims type game, you can enter your one starting house for free but to do basically anything else you gotta pay.
I felt like I already knew this would happen from the fact that it’s mobile as well. I hate this idea of gaming for TS. I’m afraid for how shit TS5 is going to be and you better know I will not be paying for anything if it’s going to be pay to game.
I thought the same thing and it's scary, i already hate ea so bad
reminds me of World of Warcraft where the first 20 levels or so are free? Or used to be haven't been on it for a while because I hate people
@@Simdarellasims Exactly. Forced "co-op play" is a hard pass.
Sims 5 is planned to have mobile port so.. Not surprising
Honestly, I really feel for the younger generations when it comes to gaming. I was fortunate enough to grow up with video games when they were made with passion and fun in mind. Now? It's absolutely disgusting. Anything that says free to play should be avoided at all costs. They know that the generic idiot is going to see the word 'free' and excuse all the scummy behaviour that these companies throw at them.
I want The Sims 5 to succeed, I really do. But this is disheartening.
The more I hear about the future of gaming, the more I go to games I never played through emulation. That may be the way out.
there are houndreds of really well made, gorgeus and deep indie games cheaper than ever
I don't want it to succeed, they have abused and scammed us for Too long
With Paralives and Life By You, I'm hardly excited by The Sims 5, and honestly out of spite of how bad The Sims 4 is and EA in general, I hope The Sims ends the same way as SimCity: completely irrelevant to PC players and only relevent to mobile players (a market which I am firmly not in).
There's also no excuse for the employees that develops The Sims 4 (and The Sims 5) for doing the evil bidding of their corporate overlords. We've seen in this industry you can break away and be successful when you're forced into a corner, or join a competitor that's less evil. This is exactly what Rod Humble did, and presumably other employees that worked alongside Humble on TS3 and earlier now working on Life By You. EA's Maxis is a shell of it's former self, and EA's acquisition of Maxis is perhaps one of the worst things that has ever happened to the game simulation genre, that is taking way too long to heal (with the heavy lifting being done by Paradox).
@@veracuman9018 Oh, you're right. I meant to write about indie games. Thanks for a reminder, friend 🙂
Im praying that Paralives and other alternatives will be ready by then
Paralives will not be ready before Sims 5

EA and Maxis, do not watch this carefully, they can end up single-handedly, making the Sims 5 dead on arrival. I’m addition killing the entire sims franchise.
It would not be the first time, does anyone remember simcity? I am sure Paralives and Life by You are going to make history repeat itself.
I don't know that it would kill the entire franchise, but it could kill the game. There are a lot of games that only last a year or under that are online service based and they pull the plug because it's not making money enough to cover the costs of the upkeep. They'd just pull the plug to prevent a loss in profit and carry on to work on the next game. If it's more like S4 as far as having online connectivity but doesn't explicitly rely on being an online service, it could be left alone and just not updated until they see profit come back in.
Makes me wonder if they'll end up working more on S4 if they keep making money for it. Part of me wants that and part of me doesn't, because I'm not sure how much more can be made for S4 with its old coding.
the sims target audience is so low IQ and they have 0 standards when it comes to gaming because they genereally don't know games, they will buy anything (or have their parents buy it for them)
They've been doing that with Sims 4, though. People have just been reluctant to see that.
Did they learn nothing from Sim City?
its so sad that EA owns the sims.....
It would be nice if they sold the franchise to gaming company that actually cares about the game and the community..

For real! Places don't offer full time, or benefits anymore...
3 weeks earned if you take no leave all year.
Me, an American, going “DAMN 3 weeks?!”
The only "luxury" of working in EA is you not getting ptsd pack, for a studio that have so much allegation of crunch this is kinda nothing, sure you have 3 weeks off, but the team need you and if you get you free time you will not have the credits...
I was going to say 3 weeks is generous LOL. Usually 2 weeks...we live in a dystopia.
EA needs to stop with the multiplayer. It's one of the reasons why Sims 4 struggled so much in quality. I honestly don't know why they're so obsessed with it. Perhaps it's because of the micro-transactions multiplayer usually introduces?
I mean, is the reason why all of their games is struggling, Bioware also suffered from this and they just stop because Anthem was a mess, the same will happen with sims 5, they know that sims 4 community are very, not to say worse, basic, and they like the sims 4, so why will they change in sims 5? They will buy or play the game anyway lol
If they implement multi-player i just wish they do it like genshin so you can invite your friends and maybe create a little world and play together rather than shoving it down our throats
Because they want people to play together to play longer and for them to milk more money. "Free to start" also sounds like it might be not only microtransactions but maybe a premium subscription?
if it turns out to be a metaverse Im literally going back to the sims 3
I never left the Sims 3 lmao
I'll stick with SIms 4
Still happily playing Sims 2. Invested in my families. 😊
I never left
Lol I already went back to the sims 3 and I love it with mods. I hate the sims 4 so much
Honestly? EA should just remake Sims 3, optimize it and update sims' appearance and clothing. It was such a great game and I'm pretty sure many players would love it. Come on, so many games are being remade these days!
I truly believe Sims 5 will be a train wreck and EA's final breath if it comes out as a pay-to-play, mmo game.
They should bring back MySims PC and add an island expansion as well as some new outfits. Everything from the original game should stay free though.
What Sims 5 should be: Sims 1 challenge, Sims 2 life details, Sims 3 worlds, expansions, build mode customization, Sims 4 build tools
What Sims 5 will probably be: Pay to win
a sims 2 & sims 3 combo remake thats updated would be perfect imo

Tine for simmers to start seriously looking into Life by You and Paralives. Looks like EA is about to kill off another franchise.
I think we will be entering a new era for life simulation games! Life by You will be coming out this September and I believe it will be successful! Not only will life simulation enthusiasts like this game, but I also think that city building enthusiasts will be part of their player base, because the open world is so flexible! Paralives doesn't have a release date, but it also looks very promising, with it's unique art style and I believe it will have a huge player base as well!! It would be sad if the Sims 5 is a game riddled with micro transactions, and terms that most players do not want! I hope that EA acts wisely and tries to keep their player base happy!
Tbf we already are, I prefer Paralives but they will never be finished before TS5. x.x

I have a suspicion that The Sims 5 will have ONLY apartaments and that thought scares me. The Sims 4 has the best building tools you can have right now in a video game, you can't deny it. Free to enter sounds more like a demo, where they let you start out and see if you like the game before paying for it/additional content, because they said free to play when referring to the Sims 4 going free for everyone. This seems like an intentionally different term, so I don't think the whole base game will be free to play.
It's going to be free to play, they're just using different terminology. Even all of the rest of what was read in the video points to that.

I feel like all sims 4 they have just been prepping us to just have less and less from packs. The early packs like paranormal, city living, get together have so much more content. They killed stuff packs. The early game packs had so much more. Then they wanted us to be comfortable with paying 5 dollars for a few items, a kit! Now they are coming for are expansion packs! No shoes in Growing together. Horse Ranch?! I’m so sad for the sims 😞
Actually, the very early packs were pretty lacking, but they did follow up with some decent packs after (at least decent in theory, but they did have a lot more stuff!)
Paranormal is a much later pack, 2021 and was, amazingly, a stuff pack but with more game play than their first game pack "Outdoor retreat" (2015). I'd actually say, their last stuff pack was pretty decent, maybe they set the bar too high and couldn't follow up lol
@@MandPKratz the success of kits is solely responsible for the death of stuff packs these days. Even game packs and expansions feel more like cheap padding/hype-building to keep people coming back for the kits.

That is another reason I am out of the mobile games!
You joke, but that's what they do in the mobile game. I tried it and got tired of it. If I didn't play for a few days, I'd end up missing all kinds of things. Usually, the limited time, "free" items. Anything else, you had to pay for. And with Sims 5 supposedly being able to be mobile, too, this points to that type of system.
@@Kabotynka And that's why I don't play it really. 😭
I seriously bet it’s an MMO, free to play, but all you get is one Sim (MAYBE a family), with an apartment that has a few furniture pieces. And you have to pay money (real money) to get an actual lot. And a ton of furniture and CAS will be micro-transactions. And I’m 50/50 at this point on if there will be NPCs at all, or if it’s only “IntERacTIng WItH otHEr PlAYeRs”
I feel like what they are trying to do is fully push out OG Simmers. Like people who literally played the first one at the time it first came out. They are getting rid of what we enjoy fundamentally about The Sims. They are aiming more towards Gen Alpha and maybe late Gen Z. EA has been aiming for younger audience for long time now (which is mind boggling to me because they would get more from the older gens.) 🤷🏾♀ If it truly falls down that rabbit hole, I'm jumping ship. I know they wont lose much with a couple people gone but I'll feel better.
Oh that rings pretty true
still have sims 1 to 3 besides sims 4. Offline, single player. done
At this rate it won't be just a couple people...
As late Gen Z thats played since sims 3, this shit is ass like im done. EA has fucked up one of my fav game franchises. It’s extremely upsetting & seeing ppl excuse it is even more upsetting
My gen z/gen alpha kid plays Sims 2 and Sims 3 - won't even touch Sims 4 with a 10 foot pole! Pretty sure none of us will be bothering with Sims 5 in this house if it keeps going down this particular road. Younger audiences are younger, not stupid - EA's only chance to snag them is for no one older to show them what a real life sim game looks like.
What they're likely to do :
Free to enter - You get basic live mode.
€1.99/month - You get access to the full range of personality traits and unlock gameplay elements like sentiments, lifestyles, memory system etc to have the intended gameplay experience
€3.99 / month - You unlock build mode and the ability to upload and download creations
€9.99 / month - You unlock all parts of the world you're in.
€19.99 / month - You get access to things like pets, weather, highschool prom, nightclubs, occults to get the full experience.
I feel like by the time the game releases we'd wish there was a monthly subscription. That would be way too generous for EA, especially for mobile.
I'm sure EA is not afraid to go an extra mile to make it more expensive than you listed.
If this is how it works, or if there’s any microtransactions at all, I’m going to stick to sims 4 (or probably Paralives at that point)
Somehow, I don't doubt this being a possibility lol
Oh god… this gave me whiplash to read, it’s so archaic 😭
I really don't understand them being so inclined to have the sims be a social/metaverse-esque game. When I play the sims, I want to tell my own story without other people interfering with it. I can see how it might be fun to have a friend play as another character, but only in certain circumstances, like a vast majority of the time I use the game for escapism and not to interact with friends or people online. It's a weird take and I do worry it'll lead them don the sims 4 path where the core of the game is not fit for purpose. But maybe I'll be proven wrong
I’m horrified for TS5 and the entire franchise, especially if they adapt it for mobile. I used to play TS Mobile, and I currently play TS4 and Freeplay. My least favorite feature of the mobile games is the almost forced storyline under the guise of a “tutorial” I’ve been playing freeplay for years, and they shove you into challenges, events, and storylines that really strip the enjoyment of the game.
That's why I stopped playing Freeplay and Mobile. Mobile is just a watered down version of TS4.
I played Freeplay when I was younger. I don’t know how much it’s changed over the years but I remember enjoying it (except for FOMO during events because I wasn’t always able to complete them in time). Then I got my hands on TS3 and I think I stopped playing Freeplay because there was so much more I could do in TS3.
So were kits a test to see if people would pay for small amounts of content?
It probably was...
Yep, and a lot of simmer fell for it. EA saw how successful it was and know a lot of players, despite saying they're upset right now, WILL buy microtransactions in Sims 5. Because simmers literally outrage about things every single time a pack or patch is released, but then go right ahead and buy the new stuff like nothing happened. EA knows Sims 5 will still be successful, even if they lose a few thousand players to this.
Yeah I avoided a lot of kits because it seemed so ridiculous
It was like 5 bucks here for 10 items in some cases. Hilarious.
I was done with Sims 5 when I heard the lady say we are trying to see how much less they can do at 13:41 in the video a couple days ago. I was so saddened by that because I am afraid that may carryover into more areas.
Here comes the weekly downtime for server maintenance, the fomo-targeted rotating store offerings, "designed for you" purchase suggestions thrown in your face, "discounted" bundles with one really cool item and a bunch of filler pieces to make you spend more when you only really want that one cool thing that would have cost a lot less on its own... and heck, throw in the Sims version of a battle pass, a monthly subscription/season pass, and DDoS attacks, just to give us the genuine live service experience.
I never thought I'd ever say this because Sims is like a part of me but if they do this .. I'm out. I'm just as terrified as you. I know we people in the Sims community are a weird bunch that likes to argue about everything but when it comes to this can be please all band together and riot? We can't let this happen!
My time as a Sims fan who has been very unhappy with how Sims 4 was handled and is thusly unsurprised about the news of Sims 5 has taught me that there is plenty of players willing to bend over for a company that is fucking them over every step of the way, and they will yell and throw a fit at you for being “negative” for bringing up any valid criticism of EA.

This reminds me SO MUCH of The Sims Online back in the early 2000’s. 🙄😒
I'm 100% when I say that I will not play TS5 if it looks like they are doing the same thing with TS4. I absolutely refuse to give them any more money after what they've done to the game and community with TS4. I'm so done. I can play TS2/3 and any other new life simulators before I i give them another penny. Not one more.
I was initially a little excited when I saw their teaser for it months ago, but now I'm just worried after hearing this. I feel like they were testing these waters with the kits for TS4, and all the content splitting in general. But mainly the kits because there's kits for bathroom stuff, every day clutter, greenhouses, basement stuff, book nooks, it's like a pattern. I'd predict you'd get TS5 for free but if you want a bedroom? DLC. Kitchen? DLC. Bathroom? DLC.
I've been around since TS1, and seeing a game franchise I've loved for so many years become a foul, cash grabby, soulless husk of what it used to be, hurts. I have no intention of playing TS5 if this is what it's going to be like, likely meaning TS4 will be the last Sims game I ever played, at least from EA. I don't like what's happened with TS4, but I've sunk so much money into it already; in the hopes it would get better, I can't bring myself to not at least try to have some fun with it.
I'm not even worried anymore. I gave up on the future of the Sims. I'm waiting for Paralives and Life by you
Same. I just check updates on TS5 to laugh at it 😂
"free to enter" gives me the same vibes as a holiday package that isn't all inclusive, yeah babes you can sleep here but you're feeding and watering yourself povo
I’ve always hoped sims 5 would save the franchise, bring back what we all miss and loved about previous games …… but now I’m worried Sims 5 will just be the final nail in the sims’ coffin.
It’s heartbreaking, but I’m also glad we will have comparable competitors such as Paralives and Life By You
No, most of us must work a year first to get a 1 week's paid vacation. Forget about part-timers. We get nothing. In some areas the US bites. People struggle and big corporations look to take more from the employees. My company just cut 600 hours we are already half staff and now it's worse.....As for Sims 5 I do not want MMO. I hate the bullying that goes on in those games. Here I can breathe, watch your videos and learn tricks and tips about the game,
When the Sims 3 came out, I wasn’t into it and just kept playing the Sims 2 for a few more years (it eventually grew on me despite its flaws lol). I feel like that’s what it will be like for me again. Just gonna keep playing older games if the Sims 5 is a cash grabby mess. 🤷🏻♀️
Agreed, I'll just stick with Sims 2 and 3 for now.
Yeah, Idrc about TS5 after TS4. I’ll probably watch other people test it out but I’m going to keep playing TS3 until something better comes out (which I’m not expecting from EA).
I feel like there's going to be two player modes, singleplayer where you have to pay for the packs (and maybe the base game will be free-to-play) and then the multiplayer mode that you can enter with a monthly subscription. Also, it sounds like they want TS3 Store back for TS5
What they're talking about does not sound anything like the Sims 3 store, other than the in-game ads that you had to turn off (or just learn to ignore). This sounds more like not so much in game ads as pop-ups when you want to do something saying you have to pay a certain amount for that experience (or at least that's what I'm afraid of). If it goes the typical route of free-to-play mobile games, people will think the Sims 3 in-game store ads were absolutely heaven by comparison.
TS3 annoyed me so much at the time, but I look back on it fondly now. You could buy a whole new incredibly detailed world, full of novel assets, for the cost of a TS4 stuff pack. It was cash grabby but at least you got a lot of grab for your cash.
This is what I think they are doing. I think the free-to-play is the MMO like Second Life, full of microtransactions and such and a single player with packs like TS4 and all the other Sims games. That way EA gets the best of both worlds and gets every type of player too. It's smart, yet soooo greedy and I hate it if it's going that way, but it makes sense. They get to have their cake and eat it too.
it really does feel like the sims team doesn't watch suggestion videos by creators / players, that they don't read reviews or take into consideration what the players want. it literally seems like they dgaf at all what we want or like, they're just like "it doesn't matter what they want or what we do, they'll buy it anyway." which is the only thing that matters.
When they were first talking about project Rene I think they sort of hinted there might be some multiplayer but also single player so you can pick and choose, they would probably have some sort of subscription to play with other people like xbox live maybe
Free-to-Enter games is just another name to F2P, I mean, they will make this game on mobile, no one buys games on mobile, but are very open to gachas, lootboxes, skin-recolors being paid, so RIP The sims, Welcome LBY and Paralives.
Greed will be the end of the Sims. I stopped playing Sims 4 years ago but I was interested to see what Sims 5 might have to offer with some actual competition emerging by way of "Life by You" and "Paralives." If this is any indication of what is to come, I'm defo not interested.
If it goes down this path I’m going back to the Sims 2, which is probably the last time I was truly happy with a sims game.
Having the base game free also makes me think that its going to be SEVERELY lacking in content, and EA (and their bootlickers) will justify it by saying its free and previous games had more in the base game because it was paid. Also if we're forced into multiplayer the game will probably become even more sanitized to pander to minors who may be online and interacting with our sims.
The free to enter could mean you have to pay for your own world and if you don’t you have to play with other players in this big massive world where multiple players can use the same plot and your going to have to deal with other players (basically the free version is a public server and the version you have to pay for is a private server)
I am not gettings Sims 5 if it mainly focus on online gaming with other people, let me play in solitude. Its fine if online/multiplayer is available for those who want, as long its not the only way to get a "good" experience.
I appreciate how much effort you put into your channel, if no ones told you that today then now i have.
3 weeks a year is actually pretty good. I get 80 hours, which is 2 40-hour work weeks. Company is NY based.
At least life by you will be coming out soon. I've spent to much on sims 4 and I've always loved the sims but sims 1 2 didn't need expansion and packs for fun. 3 I bought them because I wanted more but sims 4 you have to to have content
free to enter is crazy... i don't think i've encountered anything like it so i'm curious (and scared) to see how that's gonna work
I agree, satch. I’m not thrilled with the way it sounds like it’s going but I’ll probably be happy to keep playing for the time being
Nope. If Sims 5 goes MMO/Metaverse, I’m done with it. I’m an adult who plays the Sims to create my own world and escape the obnoxious people in the real world. I’m certainly not going to pay to be surrounded by them, nor get nickel and dimed to death. I’ve got all expansion/game packs for Sims 1-4, so I’m good.
Three weeks off is actually pretty generous for some places.
That's ridiculous.. I don't even wanna say how many weeks I get outside of the US. So that's the American dream huh? I'm truly sorry
@@justcarrie89 even in some "third world" countries people have better (legal) work conditions and rights. It's weird to look up to the USA and they be treating their own people like that.
3 weeks paid vacation as a new employee is AMAZING here in the usa, i had to work an entire year at my job before i earned 5 paid days off and 5 sick days
Im assuming free to enter is just their industry term for free to play. Because any free to play game is ultimately relying on people purchasing DLC and microtransactions, its always designed to be free to enter (and then buy stuff)
It could also be free to enter and be limited. Then you pay to unlock the full game.
I wanna have the option to play with my friends a bit more but not a metaverse yk? I want it to be a proper sims game with just a side option to play with friends where u can make a seperate world together but have a solo player main version too
This is why I'll never feel good about a game being "free-to-play" (and even worse.... free-to-ENTER?), because there will ALWAYS be microtransactions that will make you feel like you're missing out if you don't buy them - and the very likely chance of there being a monthly/yearly subscription or season battlepass. We've already seen how cash-grabby EA are when it comes to Sims 4, so I absolutely have no hope for anything nice for the part of the community who doesn't want to spend heinous amounts of money on the game.
*Only fans* coming to the sims 5. I can’t 💀
🥵Ea: walking is $2
@@Diamond-rl2on This gave me a good laugh, and yet I could actually see them doing that.
I feel like the sims is having an identity crisis. Like, they are way too focused on making money and lost in the sauce in which direction they want to go. When money is prioritized over quality of a product it will show and this is the case. The quality is what they need to focus on!
If The Sims is my long-term wife, Life By You & Paralives will be my side pieces that eventually lead me to a divorce.. and by the looks of things, I'll be much better off without her 😭
💀😭 This comment is GOLD.
Just sign the papers 😂
I knew it would be. The way they've been pushing KITS and that seeming to be their main focus to get y'all used to microtransactions, said this on videos when they were first announced... it pointed to things in Sims 5 being exactly the same, even more so because they're trying to have Sims 5 be on every platform, including mobile (remember Sims 4 was supposed to be online and was probably supposed to be what the Sims 5 is going to be). I'm glad I stopped being addicted to this game because there's NO WAY I'd ever go to the free to play model for a game like The Sims. I tried the mobile game and didn't like it for that reason. The mobile game is interesting, but it lacks a lot, if you ask me as an old sim player... and Sims 4 reflects that, very empty. People are excited about the graphics and lighting in Sims 5, but y'all are going to be even more disappointed.
I just feel sorry for y'all because back when playing Sims 1, 2, and 3, I would have NEVER imagined a future for The Sims like this. Wow.
GTA5 meme: "$hit, here we go again."
The vacation time is also very hard to use and they make you feel bad about using it. Normally people just save it up in case of emergencies and then sell some off at the end of the year.
even in some third world countries people have better (legal) work conditions and rights. It's weird to look up to the USA and they be treating their own people like that.
Sims 4 is already turned into a free-to-enter game as the base game is so barebones that you'd need Packs or mods.
So honestly, Free-to-enter sounds like an "industry speak" for free-to-play.
Worse, being free can be used as a justification for why base game keeps being so basic.
The Sims 4 started out as a base game and it's already so basic. Can't imagine how much more stripped down Sims 5 will be.
I am not praying on the downfall of the franchise and I really want TS5 to be amazing but a part of me can't wait for it to be a commercial flop and watch you absolutely decimate it 😭
I think we will have 2 modes, the classic offline where we will have our worlds with our rules and then an EA world that will be online.
In games like Animal Crossing, the creator of the world can set rules for his island, so the same thing could happen in TS5.
Finally, another person that uses games ESCAPE PEOPLE not find friends.
“Enter” being the key word. I’m terrified honestly. If they were bent on doing sims online, I wouldn’t mind a thing like gt5. Where you can play the normal game OR you can load into online.
Ok guess the sims 4 will be the last sims game I ever play.
Cause I sure as hell wont play sims 5
Dude 3 weeks paid vacation is actual ✨gold✨ here. My sister only started with two weeks paid vacation
Think its more likely it be closer to mmo than not, since I am sure they mentioned multiplayer and not coop. Coop usually for most part being up to about 4 people normally playing together.
LOOL any good news from the sims could also be bad. Like those apartments. I swear to God the sims team has us on the edge 24/7
imagine you're just playing the Sims 5 and try to place a couch, and it spawns a little menu that explains how you need to pay 50$ to unlock this furniture pack :)
If they add micro tramsactions im done. I have such a gotta catch em all mentality that id end up spending thousands, so i couldnt open myself up to it. Id be genuinely devestated
if this fails, simmers are gonna be spongebob fish yelling "HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO TEACH YOU THIS LESSON OLD MAN?!"
(EA being the old man of course.)
I'm just kinda waiting for the Sims Franchise to die tbh. I loved 1-3 (for all their sissues, they are just so much fun). 4 was bad for gameplay but sometimes nice for customization. It's clear though that EA doesnt give a s*** anymore. Maybe its better SIms dies off now before it keeps getting worse
One minute in, gotta mention, 3 weeks is just that company. Plenty of jobs have no paid vacation at all
imagine if each person has one household in a server and you have to stay within that household .. being able to play with other people could have potential if you could make private servers between your friends and you could all control everything IF you could switch the multiplayer on and off so you could just play normally
Since you mentioned the the vacation time here in America, it's so much worse than you think. The average employee only gets ONE week a year paid vacation. Most end up forced to use those paid days to cover sick days. There's also the fact that the time is earned in hours. It really is horrific. Most people are literally being worked to death here.
As for the main subject of this vid; the idea of microtransactions in TS5 is terrifying. I don't wanna play it if it goes that route. I'll stick with TS4 especially since I'm an on and off cc creator.
Sims 5 is going to be like sim city 2013
