India's External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar hosted his counterparts from seven South and Southeast Asian countries. This will be for the second BIMSTEC foreign ministers’ meeting in New Delhi. BIMSTEC stands for the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation. Besides India, the BIMSTEC comprises Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal and Bhutan. It aims to bring countries together for multifaceted cooperation.
