@@BigDave58 I never said he was in a coma. I just said he was in a vegetative state (a bit brain dead). He's eating food given to him and probably formulating basic sentences but he's not himself and probably never will be. I hope he recovers though.

Schumacher wasn't even the most aggressive driver there is in F1.
Much as the people in these comment section may tell you, Senna, Prost, Clark, Fangio etc were all better than him, if he had such big race pace compared to them was only for the Car, so comment is not accurate at all, or Else Schumacher wouldn't have felt the need to beat his oppenets by cheating if he was an "adrenaline Junkie", Titles don't mean anything, even him coming back in 2010-2012 was all business LOL, he just wanted money.
Watch Hakkinen overtake in Belgium 2000 and Compare them to Schumacher's in his whole career, he's average at best.

I skiid where he had the accident m, it’s the off piste area between 2 runs, it’s relatively flat and has small, medium and large rocks dotted about. The thing is, after a night of light snow, the smaller rocks are covered so you don’t see them, but the snow around the rocks is still soft and hasent yet been packed by the weight of more snow above it, so you can ski between what looks like a simple off piste between two runs, but your skis will hit the rocks. Such an unlucky accident, Michael Schumacher was the best F1 driver to ever live.
Ironic isn't it. The man races F1 cars all those years and never gets hurt. Then he goes skiing, and while not even at high speed hits his head on a rock that severely injures him. Very ironic.

He suffered such bad brain injuries that those cells are just not gonna replace themselves and The older Schumi becomes the harder it would even Be for him to make any progress.

I don't understand WHY every dangerous object on the right and left ski line it't covered for allowed to not have severals injuries in case of impact. While an EXTREME dangerous zone or perimeter like the rocks zone IN THE MIDDLE of the two down lines, was surrounded only with insignificant and useless tiny sticks!!!. Should be surrounded by a massive and soft barrier!. Michael probably is goes inside the aerea for an his decision, bad decision, but the point rest that something of several would happen the same in case of slep and involontary go in .. Sorry for my english.

I just found out that this happened yesterday. 8 years after it happened! I'm really shocked that this news slipped past me for 8 years. Very sad situation.
I actually never liked Schumacher much, but if i see the terrain, where the accident happened, i have to ask, why such a rocky kind of area is not blocked (as not in many other ski resorts also, I want to mention!) by any measures?!?! At least warning signs have to be positioned in some distance there!
I myself (and I may call myself certainly justified a ski-expert) think, there are enough arguments for this point of view; big ones:
1) Especially at foggy weather conditions, but also heavy snowfall, wind or high snow heights you can get quite easily also without intention in such terrain - and then someone becomes very late aware of that
2) Expecially for children (always no good skiers!) such “interesting” terrain has a great stimulative nature to drive through
3) The danger of getting surprisingly stopped rapidly, if sliding over stone surface hidden by a low snow cover, causing a forward fall (as obviously happened with Schumacher) is evident
4) "hobby-skiers", who mostly ski rarely during the year, are not really able to evaluate the danger potential of a skiing area.
One should remind, that Schumacher was really skiing with slow tempo, then the accident happened (as his helmet cam witnessed meanwhile) and was wearing a helmet, though in many countries there is still no helmet duty for skiiers.
So it´s obviously, that also especially the operator of the skiing resort is liable for this accident, if he proves himself not beeing aware about the significant danger potential of his area

Its not called OFF-PISTE for nothing you know. And you don't have to be a genius to notice that not many ski tracks go into
certain areas i.e could be hazardous. However M Schumacher was no stranger to risk and maybe was bored with the amount of people on the normal route. It could get really crowded. If you willingly stray off-piste -expect risk.
I read that he was following a friends kids to see they were not in danger.

It was a silly mistake. Happens to me too. He took a risk one too many. I think that was the problem. Risk taker. Not knowing the consequences...he thought his helmet and skill were enough. He was wrong. Tragic

This is what I would call a tragic but also stupid accident. You also don't use your F 1 to race around outside a racing circuit, on an Autobahn or why not a busy commercial street. There's a place for everything: doing it somewhere else is "not exactly" very mature behaviour for a 40 plus guy, especially one who didn't have a single financial care in the world. So, if you absolutely want to pull the devil's tail, know that there might be a serious price tag attached to that, that you can't pay back with money.

Honestly, it's unbelievable that in such a busy ski resort they haven't taken the stones out of the way or from the sides of the road, let's put it this way, I don't understand but I see in this video many rocks that seem to be loose, which is a danger for those who do the sport, I believe...
