    Bought the $30 part at Autozone for my 2013 Honda Odyssey and followed your perfect instructions. Car no longer stalls out. Dealer wanted $230. Thank you!

    Thanks for this demonstration. I just had to do this because the dealership cracked mine when they inspected the air filter during an oil change. I discovered that Dorman does indeed make this air intake hose identical to the Honda part. It is part number 696-020 and O'Reilly's carries them for $27. The Honda replacement is $44. The Dorman part is great and has all of the notches and wire holders the same as the Honda part. It even includes the metal fasteners on each side straight out of the box. It is a much better deal given that than the Honda part and you won't have any issues with sizing or installing it.

    Had some trouble removing the intake tube from the metal tube, but more so when I tried to put it back on. Used a little bit of silicon on the fitting and slipped it right on. Thanks for your video.

    Did this today, video very helpful. It was very difficult to get the metal hose to pop out of the rubber hose. I had to cut it off with a razor blade. I'm guessing it is probably because it was 30 degrees outside this afternoon and so the intake hose was quite cold. The metal hose was also tough to insert into the new rubber intake hose port but finally did get it to go in.

    Awesome, straight to the point ☝🏾 Thank you. My stupid dealership cracked mine and said nothing.

    The socket wrench for the screw or hexagon screw isn’t 7/32 or 1/4 hex bit on mine 😢what smaller size do you recommend for the hex bit ? Thanks for any reply. I have 2016 and it looks exactly the same as your intake and engine placement. I would say it’s the same. Just the 7/32 doesn’t work.

    Very helpful video, thanks for making it!
    Agree with others about it being hard to take out - especially the metal tube. Need to pull rubber tube away, do a little twisting- space is tight! Happy to finish this job!

    Great video. The best is the link for the part which cheaper than the dealership, almost half price. I also took advantage and clean MAF and they throttle.

    Did u talk about how hard the new air filter tube is 🤦🏻‍♂️ try and put a lil bit of oil on the medal tube so it can slide in better then without 👍

    I have a 2011 odyssey. Is the genuine tube the only hose that fits or does that just make it easier?

    How u turn engine light off

    • @jamescunningham6249
      @jamescunningham6249 Před 2 lety

      You can go to Auto Zone or a similar auto part store and they will clear the code for you; usually for free. You can also buy your own diagnostic handheld machine for around $75 and clear the code yourself by simply connecting it to the USB port below your steering wheel. If you have installed the hose correctly, once you have cleared the code it will not come back and the check engine light will stay off.

    What is the metal tube that goes into the intake hose?
