Thanks for another informative and intelligent breakdown. I’m a LRL and Fyreslayer main and have been playing FS exclusively for a year now. (Gotrek and foot dwarfs with all the artifacts). It is definitely playing AoS on hard mode but I have gotten so much better at this game by having to maximize the 4” move and 11 once-per-battle abilities. Every game is a 1-2 point swing for the win. I hope you continue these videos when the full rules come out.

I am a big fan of them removing the "bonus on a 6" casino roll of the ur-gold runes. Makes the army more consistent and removes some potential feel-bads (for both sides, depending on the individual roll). Looking forward to this index, because it is one of my armies. Go, duardin, go!

I noticed the Flamestrike Poleaxe thing too likely being put In it’s own warscroll.
My guess is it’s got a weaker profile than the Axe but a Crit(2 Hits) that stacks with the Crit(Mortal) ur-rune buff along with Vengeance switched with a chance at dealing some Mortals regularly so it serves as an acetylene torch to punch through armor where-as the Broadaxe can chop through damage sponge opponents.
Also won’t be surprised if battle-standard in general have that Control 5. That would make all the big flag units very useful for more smaller armies.
That would make sense! I'd love for all banners to be 5 control.
I did not notice the 5 control before it was pointed out in this video, but I immediately thought this might be a thing that they give to all independent banner bearers and icon carriers.
Runes kinda make me feel like you really want to go second, fights first rune will in most cases deni one of the tactics so saving it for that is great, using run and charge in your turn then having acess to redeploy and charge can deni another using them reactionary just feels a bit better
The fact that going second is giving out even more bonuses now, that'd be good news for all fyreslayers!
