That game 1 trade has potential to be the biggest blunder in PWG history. We will just have to see if it ends up paying off later in the season... but big yikes for Joezack so far.
Hard to trade for a first pick when you’re always picking first
its that old story, team runs the regular season, blunders in the crag-off and their franchise is ruined. You hate to see it.
I think the victory last season really went to joezack's head. It's become abundantly clear that they did not practice in the offseason, as they have been completely outpaced by the other teams so far.
Perhaps the loss in the cragoff did irreversible damage to their morale

This was the 27th episode taped for the first season. They simply went back to the Tightrope Walk after they finally realized that the Rings were a terrible idea.
We gaslighted the guy who suggested the rings. We made up rumors, started a smear campaign, and then told him to go see a therapist. He eventually quit, and we did not have to file as much paperwork
I heard that the guy who recommended the rings had recently transferred from NASA following the Challenger disaster. I'm not sure what he got up to next...
Last I heard, he was in Beirut managing the grain silos at the pier. I'm sure he couldn't have gotten into any trouble in that job.
I’m sure it was Mike O’Malley with “white powder” all over his nostrils that suggested the rings and then performed said ring walk in less than 3 seconds

I've searched for it, and I can't find it. I just want to acknowledge the chemistry between these three teams/four people, and Zach is just as crucial and we only hear his voice (that's how much Joe/Zack work as a team). I root for all of you, but since season 4 is coming up, I'm rooting Jimmy.

But also seeing that kind of stuff, whether manufactured or not, really turns me off watching the content. It was a fun little show in the beginning, but if it devolves into tryhardism and mean-spiritedness, I’m out.

Im not as down on Joezzack as others. They could end up with 3 1st picks in a row while also scoring points in those games. Sometimes prospects take a little longer to develop, lets see how it plays out.

New strategy for the long jump: right before you land in the sand, tuck your feet in so you float with the bungee until you run out of momentum, and then touch both feet down. There's nothing in the rules that prevents this, and you can look to Jill's first jump as an example. That jump was disqualified not because she took an extra bound, but because she only landed with one foot. Had she landed with both feet on the ground, the jump should have counted.
“Each player will get 2 jumps. Players must land with both feet in the sand for the jump to be counted, and longest jump wins.”
I’m glad JoezZack feels bad about that trade. Because I feel bad about it. We all do.
And that's why you DON'T trade with this draft structure. You traded what you thought at the time was a 1st place finisher for a gamble and got last. 1st place is worth exponentially more than 1st round draft position.
I mostly agree but Joezzack still haven't cashed in on their side of the trade. If they trade picks into a first and a second place then it will have been worth it.

Jill's float jump was close to 22' if you use the field markers on the ground in the back to line it up in relation to Ryan's 20'. Absolute innovator and legend.

First full group of competitors who actually seemed to me to be competing and not like, "Oh this bungee is funnnnn, this blow-up mat is funnnn." These kids actually seemed to have it, ignoring the handlers and going for it: full send; that -testicular'- intestinal fortitude, which to me is "guts."
From how good Shakir looked in the first event to how bad he did in the last few events, that might be one of the worst collapses in GUTS.
Hump Day will now be replaced by Guts Day! And none of my coworkers will know what I'm saying.

Zack fumbled. He convinced Joez to make the worst trade in Watchin Guts history, they'd have a guaranteed 4 points and would have probably gotten stuck with Jill for another 2 points.
I have and will continue to wstch every single episode. One of the best parts of the week for me. I can't wait until the Crag gets an upgrade in future seasons.
This is the final nail in the coffin for that trade from last ep. Picks, even multiple 1st overall selections, are worthless in comparison to a secure 1st place finish.

A tip for drafting: pick the kid that weighs the most. Lighter kids struggle on the elastic harnesses because it’s harder for them to control it and hit the ground lighter for jumping

The scoring should be done like PGA golf money at the end of a tournament: if two guys are tied for 4th place, they take the total money for 4th and 5th, combine it and evenly split between the two guys who tied. So in Guts. When two people tie for first it should be 250-250-100

Imagine: the Super Crag--not only did the winner of the regular season win the first pick, but he also gets open the Spill Your Guts description for each kid from a golden envelope. You know that you are picking a softball champ, an aspiring xylophonist, or can do a backflip. Spice up the championship episode a little :)

I was shocked that Shakir had such a lackluster performance. I also chose him to win but even said out loud "I probably should have picked Red." This episode was an example where the non-purple player was too good to pass up.
