  • On this weeks episode we decided to replace our cassette toilet with The Ogo Composting Toilet!
    Jake being a handy man was able to do the exchange himself and was quite straightforward.
    With us travelling fulltime it was a no brainer to be able to stay offgrid for longer periods of time!
    As always, if you liked the video and would like us to keep putting these videos out don’t forget to subscribe to our channel! Every little bit helps!

    Hi, great stuff guys, enjoy following your adventures. Have seen someone else install ogo toilet, they used back section from old toilet to fill gap between wall and unit and vented out thru hatch.

      I believe I watch this one also before installing mine. I just wanted maximum room in the bathroom so I did it against the wall. We don’t mind it venting to the floor. Thanks for watching! Bringing out a review video on it soon.

    I would suggest while the brick is still in the packaging cut it at the 9 with a saw of some sort and wrap the extra bit in a bag until you get enough of them, probably 3 helpings hahaha I think ya did just fine on the box install looks much better and more usable space for ya family 👍 be interested in ya finding of use and length of swap times 👍

      That’s one heavy door! Having kids they would make an absolute mess if there was no shower screen! Maybe a mod for later on! Cheers 🤙🏻

    I would have left the water inside with the blocked off end and put the Vent onto the outside door to free up the side area next to the toilet. Lest us know how you get on with the toilet paper from your No 2's. Put plastic screw caps on the holes in the wall held on with a bit of silicone sealant.

      Cheers mate, we installed the vent to the floor as then I could install the toilet as far back as possible as there would have been a 40mm gap otherwise. Yeah we will do going well so far! Cheers

    Hi, great video guys! How is it when you need to discharge the load? Somebody was complaining that the you need to unclog the mixer by hand, especially if you throw the toilet paper inside.

    • @Thehangertribe
      @Thehangertribe  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Hey, thanks for the support! So we have found if you let it get too wet it can start to stick to the inside of the bucket when “discharging the load” 😂. If you get to it before that you can simply just tap the side and 99% comes out and we don’t clean it just put some more peat in and away you go. Super simple takes 5mins if that for a full change. Hope that helps. We will be doing a review video in the coming weeks as I have changed a few ways I do things now.

      We unfortunately had to throw it away. I did see if anyone wanted them but no one did! We did give our chemicals away though 🙈
