I've played Shaco Mid for like 8? seasons now, and only recently started branching out to other champs. Twitch top has been a fun alternative to being off-rolled top, since Shaco top is...really bad at the moment. My peak was diamond a few years ago, but I mostly just get to gold and then go play WoW. Gold 4 is like the top 30ish%, so I kinda just say good enough and move on till next season.
Only way I'd hard push again is if my friends started playing the game again, or riot reworks shaco into an actually functional champ...which let's be real, hes had less than 20 balance changes over 10 years, I dont think riot is ever going to touch him :c
@@kennygallagher4700 yep i feel you, been maining xerath since he came out, he sneaks hes way into meta here and there but kit is really useless, you can be 24/1 and you will still be oneshooted by any champ that has dash or anything like that, not to mention ult hitbox that is so small that its shame if you dont dodge that :d, you can try twitch adc if you have some friend that is willing to play nami, since she can buff him and give him extra burst plus protection, i feel like its even better then lulu twitch
This strat wouldn't have worked so well if your enemy laners just bought Hullbreaker. They were both split pushing champs too and can't recognize the counter to perma roaming champs is to force pressure on their objectives to force an answer to your pushing.
It works fine. You cant fight them if they build it unless you do too, but now you impacted the other 8 people in the game and took the entire game from river to river. Even if someone has to match the split eventually, your team almost definitely wins 4v4s because the entire enemy team is behind
@@Luchamasterfit But then just play form behind. But the first problem is that the idiots didn't respond to perma roaming Top Laner. The rest of the team should just be sitting under their towers playing safe and getting ready for dives. It's not difficult to whether through this cheese strat if people just adjusted their gameplay to it. It's not hard. Besides split pushers like Tryn or Trundle need more than one wimpy ranged champ to stop their pushing, it has to be answered with at least two people otherwise the Hullbreaker is just gonna chip away at a tower's health faster than 4v4s can siege a lane.
@@leoncoben6983 if your roaming has forced every lane to give up prio the situation isn't much better. You still impacted the game early to the point that your jungle has free reign over objectives and nothing is stopping you from just invading with your jungle and putting the enemy team in positions where they lose waves to rotate. The problem is that pre 14 minutes, without tele threat, the top laner who isnt roaming basically doesnt exist and since they are probably building hull breaker, no matter how big they get, they wont carry their strength into a teamfight. Splitting is a lot less effective when the other 4 people on the team are behind so when you do overextend into a split you get matched by 2-3 people. Even if your splitting leads to an early tier 3 tower, the farm in that lane funnels to the enemy and the other two lanes are probably having trouble securing farm in their own lanes due to the game state. Then when the hullbreaker split pusher takes bot because top is to far shoved in constantly shoving the wave into the enemy base, the rest of the team is stuck sharing mids xp.
@@Luchamasterfit Won't carry their strength? You have to be kidding right? Champs that have dedicated split pushing power have tons of power either in lane or Teamfighting. I play Yorick a lot and just being able to dump four ghouls on someone is enough to drastically change a teamfight, if the enemy team isn't paying attention and you flank them an ADC will die to just Ghouls and Maiden alone. And it's not like he can't frontline, he's a beefy boy even if he 5 people are focused on him. As long as you keep control of the map and secure objectives the others who are behind won't matter if they're not letting the enemy team extend the lead very quickly. Anyway being behind won't hurt as bad if you get numbers advantage and if two people are dealing with a Top Laner split pushing your team fighting 4v3s can and will change the flow of power drastically. Again that does depend on your team's competence but it's not like it's hard fact that teams ahead can just flat out win in disadvantagoues situations. 4v3 even if the 3 have more items and levels stand a very good chance of losing if they're CC locked. Only Hypercarries like Jinx or Twitch are anything to be worried about.

Most league games are now decided by the 15 min mark. Which pretty much means TP is useless besides winning your own lane.

@@beo3828 i saw one myself, i was hyperfed whit 6 items, mofo got Hull+Shieldbow, after i killed his entire team he almost killed me, it was honestly surprising how close it was, literally 6 items vs 2 the guy was useless the entire game yet almost managed to kill me
(i was a Volibear, so even more surprising considering Voli is meant for 1 vs 1)
@@streptococo4735 if he kited well he gets off a lot of free damage, if he can get some distance he can heal with the lifesteal, he has a lot of stats due to hullbreaker passive if he is high enough level ofc. The shieldbow gives a shield which is harder to break through than armor. Volibear has no ranged cc so has to tank damage to get up close. If say you were playing tank then there is no way he would have dealt that much damage because he only has 100 extra ad and no max hp damage. I think you were playing ap or ad with moderate armor but not full tank, you missed your thunder shield and he put ignite on you and flashed out of your ult hit. Unless you are lying this is it

I suppose at this state that the game has been in recent seasons, Top might as well just become a secondary Jungle. Usually why I like running Quinn up top, to roam mid or bot. I can see high mobility champs becoming the new choice top in the future.

As someone who loves top lane and playing old school melee tanks and bruisers, I absolutely hate the current meta. Mages, marksmen, supports, ect. just run top and abuse the ever living shit out of defenseless melee champions to the point where they can't even play the game. People who pick vayne top are a special breed of animal in my book.

you're so lucky that trundle had no idea what he was doing, a free farming trundle could have broke inhib by the 10 minute mark and bordline destroy both towers on the nexus, just build attack speed boots and either witts end or ruined king and he melts towers his Q gives him the raw damage needed to pop a tower in 2 seconds
