On Sunday, Queen Rania and Princess Rajwa Al-Hussein celebrated King Abdullah II’s silver jubilee at Raghadan Palace, marking 25 years of his reign. The event featured a grand military parade and was attended by over 8,000 people. It also marked the first official public appearance of Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah and Princess Rajwa since announcing their pregnancy.
Princess Rajwa, showcasing her baby bump, wore a bespoke red gown by Saudi designer Honayda Serafi. The dress honored her Saudi roots and celebrated Jordan with its deep red color, symbolic geometric embroidery, and elements reflecting the Jordanian flag and the 25th anniversary. The gown was crafted with traditional Jordanian artistry and 3D techniques, taking 950 hours to complete.
Queen Rania chose a minimalist white gown by Jordanian designer Laith Maalouf. The dress featured seven buttons representing Jordan's seven-pointed star, a grey bustier symbolizing protection and strength, and a skirt with hand-embroidered wheat spikes, reflecting Jordan’s agricultural legacy. The creation of the gown involved 200 hours of meticulous work.
