- Bride Olivia Henson arrives at her wedding at Chester Cathedral wearing a dress and veil designed by Emma Victoria Payne. The mother of the groom, Natalia Grosvenor, Duchess of Westminster, arrived wearing a pink dress and pink fascinator. The crowds certainly loved seeing her as their reaction proves, especially when the wind caught her veil which has to be seen.

That poor lady trying to hold down a wind driven tsunami of train and veil. She displayed incredible composure and gracefully kept trying to wrestle the airborne fabrics to the ground. I give this incredible lady a respectful round of applause.
Best to have gotten out of the wind before trying to perfectly arrange all that fabric, poor lass. Will be one of the moments remembered, that's for sure!
Hats off to the bridesmaid, and to the wind, which added sweet drama to the beautiful bride's lovely wedding gown.

@@gerardacronin334 But fight she did with remarkable grace and dignity. Why didn't at least one of the adults in the bridal party come to assist her wrestle the airborne fabrics to the ground? She is a perfect example of "grace under fire" except this was "grace under erratic wind". At one point I thought the veil was going to be ripped off the bride's head and take flight to parts unknown! This Gal's quick thinking, grace and agility saved the day!
It was her mother!
Congratulations to the stunning bride. Aided by the wind, she made a dramatic entrance. And Kudos to the lady in waiting. She certainly earned her keep today.

The woman in the lilac print dress worked so hard to get the train and veil to lie correctly and the stiff breeze rearranged everything! Lovely bride and lovely dress that fits.
think she was the designer, must be disappointing to not get the photos of the dress etc going in.

Amazing veil came alive in the wind. It showed off the divinely fluid lines of the design. Loved it!
it was a stunning dress - I do love a very romantic bridal gown. She looked absolutely beautiful. I don't know how she managed to keep it all together in that wind. stunning.... loved the shoes the colour theme, everything.

I don't understand why they stood in that strong wind for so long! The woman trying to continually keep the veil and train under control was fighting an uphill battle. If it was an effort to get a decent picture, forget about it! Just get in out of that wind before something gets ripped or blown off! Plenty of time for pictures later! She did look lovely though!

I love the wind blowing on her train, it made the bride ethereal. Just beautiful and obviously the theme was some either black or navy blue hence judging by the piping on the flowers girls dresses and coordinated little black/ navy blue shoes.

It reminds me of the then very novel black-and-white theme at Sophie, Duchess of Wessex's wedding (now Duchess of Edinburgh); the black capes of the bridesmaids and the incredible pearl cross she wore, with black-and-white pearls. It was so unusual, but therefore so personal.

Those shoes look hard and uncomfortable and they're probably wearing them for the first time without being broken in. Ouch. Tights or anklets should have been provided.

@telasims233 why would the tax payer be paying for this wedding ? The couple paid for the city centre ro be decorated with flowers and plants and also paid local retailers to provide ice-cream and treats to the clouds that came to wish them well.

Isn’t she just lovely? Really lovely. If you look at the bridesmaid dresses, you will see black piping on their dresses. It would seem that black and white is the color theme of her wedding.
And black bows at the back of the dresses - or maybe it was navy blue? I did think that the flower girls shoes were a bit heavy looking in the dark colour.

I thought the bride's shoes looked like a lavender colour, certainly not black. The flower girls had very dark shoes - dark navy or black which did not suit their dresses.

The weights wouldn't have made a difference. It was a very windy day for June. The same in most of the Uk.
