All the best Ann. I took care of my mum (not with alzheimer's but still a dilapidating long term illness). It's tough but that's the best gift you can give your parent and truly yourself too. I wish you both all the best.
Your mum impacted on me and my mum. We still talk about her with so much love.
Heavy on the "...and I went to that grandeur school in Kikuyu that you all love to hate..." bit 🤣
I'm privileged to have been a recipient of Mama Ann's banana bread and vanilla cakes in my younger years...i always looked forward to tagging along with my mom to chama, especially if it was at Shosh's place ❤❤
Parents who give their kids a voice have a special place 💗 💕 your mum was a super hero
Hugs Anne❤️❤️❤️
This is so touching. Anne, it's not an easy journey to watch your parent(s) change right in front of you while you've lost the other. Hugs.
LOVE is the only thing that remains when all is said and done. More grace and peace to you Anne.
Listening to Anne's story again, Girl you are such an inspiration, your mom is happy to have you, hugs mom
Indeed. When all is said and done, LOVE is all we need.
All that's left is love.

Anne so sorry you lost your dad. I felt that for you. Hard to talk about him in past tense. Hes still looking down on you. Pole sana sana. Your mum sounds like such an amazing woman. Alzheimers is a terrible disease. You're so brave and loving like your parents. Keep up the spirit. Be number 1 and excel in being a caring daughter. Yiure already in the top something!

Thanks for sharing. I saw my grandma go on a spiral when she had Alzheimer's. A difficult moment to see someone you love and care for deteriorate mental wise. More grace.

Sending love and hugs to you as you care for your Mum. You are a great daughter. She may not be here-like you knew her- but deep down, she's feeling that love. I am so sorry about the loss of your dad. May God give you strength.
Lots of strength to you and your family. I've worked with people with this condition and it's not easy when you put yourself in their shoes. They need love and understanding more that anything else! May God give you the grace to stand with your mum always.

Love conquers all!
I am so saddened by this information about Mama Ann, she was that woman. Its been a long time so I personally don't remember anything about cakes but her cooking was out of this world. She was a great host, very jovial, confident and kind. I could say alot about my personal experiences with her but all I can say is I hope that she knows she is appreciated even as disease ravages her memory.
May you find strength to love her more everyday.
This made me tear
May God give you all the strength that you need to take care of your mum.
Hugs 💗
All that's left to give is love
