- This is a compilation of the best calm soundtracks in the Metal Gear series, "calm" means ambient, peaceful and beautiful soundtracks. The aim was to make a more relaxing soundtrack video that people can listen to while studying / working or while trying to fall asleep. This compilation includes a lot of sneaking and caution themes as well as soundtracks from the more emotional moments in the games. I put the soundtracks in chronological story order. This will most likely be the last Metal Gear soundtrack compilation I'll ever make as the series is pretty much dead now. I don't see myself doing another one, so in that sense this is my tribute and farewell to Metal Gear. I hope you enjoy the video!

75% of these songs almost made me cry because of the context. That wasn't calming, that was an emotional rollercoaster.
Lol yeah I can see that, I've played through all the games so many times that these soundtracks usually don't make me cry anymore. I have no more tears to shed, as Solid Snake would say.

Especially when you realise what The Boss had to endure, how she had to turn her back on her own country. She did whatever was necessary to complete her mission.
That title screen for MGS3 with the slow motion combat techniques combined with that ominous soundtrack was so damn cool.
You could also change the colors with the shoulder buttons and speed up the animation too, pretty cool stuff. :)

@@thiccboss4780 I actually hadn't even listened to any of them until you mentioned so I decided to give them a listen. Pretty interesting stuff to listen to I must say. I'd definitely describe most of them as overkill and I definitely like the original versions more, but I still can't say I particularly dislike any of them. They're okay, they're different. "Theme of Solid Snake" was the one track that stood out to me, absolutely loved the guitars on that!
