Just do what I do buy one ETB,Build and Battle and Booster Bundle and call it a day that's just me though I don't like to overspend or have a lot of bulk either
Just give us a set with SIRs of zard, shiney rayquaza, groudon, gengar, lugia, mew, mewtwo, giratina, and umbreon. Infact just smash all the eevees on one card for good measure, and let us max fomo and fight each other for boxes and cash out in the future for the random luck of being in the hobby the time it was released.
That sounds like a great idea though really 😂
if they ever come out with such a set, probably it will rise to 500/booster box right from the start lol
Gastly from Temporal Forces at $18 bucks right now I think is a move. Gives off Groudon and Magikarp vibes. I’m picking up copies rn

The fact that everyone is talking badly of it potentially likely that less cases are open, psa 10 single population may be lower and in the long term we may see some fantastic returns for those that did believe in this set. I think so many of the art rares and SIR look great in this set and it will be the ultimate nostalgia trip for kids and young adults who’s first ever game was Scarlet & Violet. People are sleeping on this set and I honestly can’t understand why.
You know, I’m actually starting to change my mind about twilight masquerade. I do like it now but not for obvious reasons, it’s probably going to make a good investment, it’s the only set with masks and the Lana’s aid SIR is one of my new favorites. Can’t believe it but maybe I was wrong about S&V this entire time. 🤷🏻♀️
It's probably a personal favorite from a flavor perspective but it's hard to buy anything but paldea evolved at 100 a box lol
You think paldea is that good huh? Hmmm.. still feel 151 is the Best Buy. Paldea will move a bit sooner possibly though based on release dates. I’d say that’s the safe bet for first sets in SV to move. I do like Base set a lot… tempted to keep buying cases at 500$ 😂
@orionsires I'm still anticipating a 151 English reprint maybe on certain products and then I'll be more comfortable moving in but paldea could easily get a reprint too since it was short lprinted
Where you finding for $100? Best I can find is 110 and ends up being like 120 tax and shipped!! I need a few more paldea ! I only got 2!!
@TheSnackAttackingSnorlax then it could already be slowly moving up, paradox just went from 90 to 100 so once people recover from their swsh buying they could easily pivot right into sv
I love Paldea Evolved. As well as Magikarp and Tyranitar is got one of my new favourites Baxcalibur and his evolution line. Awesome set.

I’m no investor but my personal view is SV as games are gonna be the 2nd best selling all time behind red and blue. Ogerpon is arguably the most popular pokemon in those games, so people will want these cards down the line.
Interesting take I’m always willing to learn more, so you think it will be a popular set down the road regardless as people become nostalgic that’s a valid point for sure. Red and blue were on another level I feel like though hard to compare the two but I get what you’re saying. Great comment 😎
A hard friendly disagree. 😅 SV might have broken sales records because the hobbys been ever increasingly populated, but as someone who's beaten the game and completed the original dex I enjoyed the game but it was in spite of the game's mechanics and story. Graphically the pokemon are best looking they've ever been, but the world performance and textures were extremely poor. It almost felt last gen besides close ups of the pokemon themselves. What everyone wants is to satisfy that fantasy of running with our Pokemon open world, and this sort of delivers that. Besides Arven, the storylines of the other characters felt fairly annoying. The teralization mechanic can just be thrown a window. You need a spreadsheet for the elemental countertypes and raids are so much more difficult than Sword and Shields was.
I just think a lot of those feelings are transferring over to this gen of TCG. Not to be completely negative on things. We've gotten some of the best new arts ever printed! Seriously they are gorgeous. It's just at the cost of personally an unfavorable video game affliation, not nessisarily the new monsters themselves. Also maybe hats. Yeah, the hats was a bad call.
OK... I think we can all agree that the SIRs are lackluster; however, the IRs are soooooo good that I will 100% get an booster box, and ETB, and eventually go for the Master Set once the single prices come down.
Nice I’ll eventually open and grab some singles just too soon for me personally I’m falling behind on my modern binders still haven’t made a binder for temporal

I am personally aware of the cards that will be in Twilight based on the Japanese sets, but many people watching this video are not. I recommend overlaying your video with some of the cards that will be in Twilight Masquerade. Good video thought, ty for the insight.
No I hear ya I’m not savvy with editing but I can definitely do that another time, CZcams is just a side passion project of mine and I don’t take it too seriously but i appreciate the input and will consider it moving forward always trying to push myself to do better and be better 😎🙏🏼

Definitely not as exciting as a set but I do like the trainers and think this set will be good to pick up the singles from for cheap. That Eevee could be just like the Gastly etc. Temporal does well because they fixed the pull rates so the cards retain value therefore so will the product. The variations of the legendaries are not my favorite and if the pull rates were high I don’t think they would be expensive at all.

I think this will be the worse SV set and that’s ok! I have money to get more older sets we needed this break. Will still probably buy one box though 😒

The gengar in lost origin is the best gengar from recent modern and sells for 4-$5. With prices of lost origin shooting up. I think so will that gengar . Easy card to jump to $20 from $5

I actually like a lot of the art in the set as well as heavily favoring gen 1-3 pokemon so I've got to open a little at least. Good balance between abstract and realistic looking cards.
There’s no doubt Pokémon has continued to step their art game up just not for me personally but I will probably open a little as well just to get a feel for it. 😎
My favorite card from this set is the Illustration rare Eevee.
It’s pretty good but the Lana’s aid is my new favorite… can’t believe I missed it!
I'm very curious where Pokemon goes with the final sets of SV and today I read something really interesting. Nintendo's CEO announced that the Switch 2 is on the way and it will be revealed within this fiscal year (until March 2025). A new generation of Pokemon will be released during the next Switch generation so it got me thinking about the TCG world now. The first sets of SV are much better compared to the early SWSH sets but they aren't that popular overall. They definitely have fans but I don't really hear people say they love this current era. Mostly people pick one or two sets like 151 and say they love that specific set. The final half of SWSH is truly incredible so it got me thinking about what SV might have in store for its second half? Is there anything that can truly rival Evolving Skies, Fusion Strike, Brilliant Stars, and Lost Origin? I don't know for sure, but I'm doubtful SV can top that if they are continuing to push new Pokemon that aren't beloved. The SWSH grail cards are all incredibly popular pokemon like Umbreon, Gengar, Rayquaza and others. Twilight Masquerade doesn't grab my attention because of the featured pokemon in the set. I'm not encouraged for what else may be coming out for SV. The investing play might actually be early SV sets like Base, Paldea Evolved, 151, and Paldean Fates. We may have already gotten the true bangers from this era and didn't realize it. To sum it all up, I think the video game could speed up how fast the SV era gets wrapped up by the Pokemon Company because Nintendo has a new console coming out so a lot is up in the air. They may have a new generation to debut. Thanks for the video Orion. Hope you're doing well.
I’m starting to think alt art chase cards of swsh are becoming the modern grails of our time. Great write up and thanks for the information on the next switch. Will be hard for pokemon to top those sets but at the end of the day they don’t need to top the set they just need more cool alt chases 😎

Personally the set is fine as expected ofc they are gonna do the DLC stuff its like saying Chilling Reign sucks cause they focussed on the current era game pokemon lol. so its basically impossible to be called a filler set and its thematically more cohesive than majority of recent modern sets tbf.
I love the perrin/carmine cards the most and probably will buy them in english to pair with my Japanese copies.

Not a huge fan of Twilight Masquerade as a whole. However I will for sure be picking up a few of the IR’s, especially that Infernape. Love the Sinnoh starters!
It will give us all time to look for better cards while the new fans open twilight 😂
Really iffy about Twilight Masquerade. This one is the first set I'm reluctant to do a master set for. Bought 2 BBs to save one and crack the other to see if my mind changes.
Yeah sounds like a good idea. I’m definitely interested in some of the cards but I’m becoming reluctant to master sets as well. I still haven’t made a binder for temporal 😂😭

Nah temporal is worse , but I get what you’re saying it’s just slept on maybe- although I think it’s fair to say temporal is one of the more popular sets in SV

I agree on your paradox take. Super underrated set. As far as twilight masquerade, Im not a huge fan of the ogerpon cards but the illistration rares, trainers, and the greninja in this set are sweet. Its prb a mid tier set but its not as bad as I see people saying. Its also not going to be a top tier set because of the lack of alt art pokemon power.
Might even be more valuable somehow if no one wants it but it’s a hard pass for me at this time. Thanks for watching ! Again illustration cards and the art in general is evolving though but not worth giving them my money again 😂
Such a shame because I love Ogerpon's design but those mask cards are too zoomed in. Would've preferred to see more of the Pokémon.

I don't see it either, maybe there's a couple trainer alt arts that'll appeal to a segment of collectors for Twilight Masquerade but like you said i'm not a fan of chandelier hats or Deku Masks on Pokemon either.
In terms of potential chases... Eevee 188/167, Perrin 220/167 & Hisuian Growlithe 181/167 (kinda of a cool shared art concept between the two cards, growlithe being in the relflection of the camera lense, and then Perrin's legs in the growlithe art... kinda cool upward & downward perspective... some appeal to photographer hobbiest or Pokemon Snap fans...
There's one card as well that almost has a Studio Ghibli vibe that might appeal to like anime fans of stuff like Castle In the Sky, that card being the poltchageist... which isn't a pokemon people normally collect or care much for. Although how cool would it be if Pokemon started urilizing more prominent artists... like imagine if Akira Toriyama ever did a full art before he passed away, it woulda been an absolute banger. Especially if it were like hitmonchan or machamp.
Some people are thinking the Carmine with the candy apple will be a chase for a segment of the pokemon community.
I just dont know if all the potential "chases" are just too niche of segments within the Pokemon card collecting community to justify picking up a case. If there was a broader appeal to a larger segment of card collectors, maybe i'd be more convinced to go in on a case.
The grenija ex has some potential as a chase as well, because he is popular with a segment of collectors... but than again its a chandelier hat.
Investors will run up the value on something in these sets, almost certainly... probably one of the cards I mentioned...
I wish the set just had a more clear safe bet of a decent chase card. But if we're being honest. The most popular pokemon probably need a break from the sets to keep it from feeling over done or saturated. Charizards got plenty of chases between 151, obsidian flames and fates. Eeveelutions are still flying high off the evolving skies popularity, plus a couple other sets from around that era.
Gengars having a little time in sun, pikachu has the felt hat and baby shiny.
We have that rumored dragon special set coming down the pipe... I reckon that'll be where the absolute bangers will be... probably a dope Ryquaza, Gyarados, dragonite, etc
Keep in mind its the year of the dragon, a japanese legend and icon toriyama passed away this year as well (creator of dragon ball). The absolute optimist in me is thinking maybe, just maybe, Toriyama's apprentice Toyotaro will do some Pokemon alt arts.

Incredible write up and I really took away some points from it as others might. But my question is with so many amazing pokemon I don’t think it’s hard for them to give us one amazing chase pokemon every set. Maybe I’m too critical. Also it’s ok because I don’t need to constantly be spending my money 😎😂
@@orionsires I think Pokémon is just at a turning point. They recognize the need to pivot away from the traditional or they’ll never grow the fan base and generate hype for newer Pokémon. They took Ash out of the animated show!!!
I’m sure there will be chase pokemon people are accustomed too, but clearly paradox, temporal and now masq is just pokemon tryna shift some focus to the new!
Otherwise the IP will get stale!! Can’t have 30 years of non stop charizard and gen 1! There’s 9 gens! And people who grew up on 3/4 are pretty much adults now!
It’ll be a painful transition and not without its bumps but pokemon gotta get some hype and credibility for other Pokémon so we can have more than the same 20-30 chases just over and over again!
@@orionsires Probably just convoluted and poor decision making at corporate for the pokemon company. They probably thought blood moon was gonna be the hype pokemon, which it probably is for the younger generation of kids playing the games right now. But for everyone else it's a nothing burger. I wonder how much they factor in or think of the adult collectors... hmm
The special set in English will be based on Night Wanderer the Loyal 3 ARs arent in Twilight.
I took a look at the card list and there wasn’t too much on there that intrigued me. Seems like another filler set to me. Hopefully the next one has some better banger cards

I am a fan of greninja so there’s a chance some cards could grow sure but overall I don’t think it’s enough for me to want the set… it will be interesting to see how singles move 😎

I don't like it. I don't plan on buying any of it. I think it's a garbage set comparable to Obsidian flames but even that has WAY more appeal.
it carries zero value, packs will be worth pennys
Obsidian has a pretty epic alt zard although the crown sucks still a fire card and the ETB promo charmander is nice but yeah this sets a pass for me
