I love VA-11 Hall-A, just a beautiful game. It's relaxing, and overall a very comforting experience. I often revisit it when things get tough. Glad to see it getting more recognition!

VA-11 HALL-A music is such a masterpiece, i never had the chance to play the game myself but some years ago I followed a nice dude making a let's play on the game and I fell in love with the universe. A year ago I felt really bad in my life, remembered this game and how making drinks seemed nice so I started mixing. Now i'm a amateur bartender and I play occasionally this role during parties and it just feels so right to mix the right drink to the right person.
Thank you for compiling this OST, I hope it means to other people as much as it means to me.

I clicked on this video and immediately upon seeing the artwork thought "damn this would be an awesome game concept" proceeded to read the comments to find out it is. Dreams do come true
If VA-11 Hall-A was real. I have a strong feeling id go there every other night. Life just feels so lonely that it's hard to find a reason to get up. I never talk to anyone and I'd find it comforting to just be somewhere else.
Not think, relax, have a nice drink.
Don't forget there are places everywhere where you can find a chill environment and a nice bartender to talk to, just have to push yourself to go out and find them!

I like this version a lot though, due to the fact that it has the background sound of a busy bar added to it
yeah, and it's not even lighting in a bottle, Garoad (the composer) made other OSTs which are bangers too!
I listened to the first song and was like "This is the Yuppi Psycho guy!" He makes great music and the vibes are just as strong here as in that game
The "Lounge" sign hiragana above the Bartender says "Irashamase" (irashai, depending on location)...it means "Welcome!" in Japanese.
You'll hear it from workers when you first walk into stores and restaurants in Japan. I thought that was a nice small touch to the scene.

I played Va-11 Hall-A last december (it turned out that the date and day sequence from the game was exactly the same than the one december 2022 had), and man...

I kinda wish they had done a dual-screen DS style interface where you could have actually seen something akin to this on the 'top' while the dialogue window with the facial portraits was at the bottom.

I normally don't play these types of games, but the cyberpunk aesthetic grabbed my attention, then the music afterwards. SHEESH THE MUSIC! Now waiting on it's sequel, but no telling when it will be released or even finished; I read somewhere that the creators are having issues with each other.
I feel like this music could also work perfectly for a Shin Megami Tensei game, I guess a Soul Hackers game would be more appropriate considering the cyberpunk aesthetic

You play a late 20's bartender with a bit of a drinking problem, a regretful romantic past, a crush on her boss, a cat she pretends can talk and expensive utility bills to pay living in a corporate owned authoritarian city sometime in the 2070's. Your bar looks like it'll be closed down soon and tensions are rising in the city but you kinda just have to make enough money to pay the next rent. The game itself is just having conversations with the patrons of the bar and doing your best to serve them what they want. "Mixing drinks and changing lives" as Jill likes to say. The fun is in getting to know a cast of very human characters. To me, Jill is genuinely up there as one of the most real-feeling characters in any piece of media i've experienced. Sure it's not flawless, there are some scenes i kinda have to scratch my head at but overall it's a game with a surprising amount of heart put into it that it's palpable.
