I love this! It reminds me of my grandchildren scribbling with crayons like that! lol. I have been saving all sorts of scraps for a few years now. Think I will do some of this mindless play with them!! Thank you for sharing your creativity!
😂…. I love this! I hope you enjoy exploring ❤️
All those strips, it’s be fun to weave warm through cool colors.
What a neat idea ☺️Thanks for sharing 💕
I have done something similar, but used sheer organza on top before stitching, then used some fun stitches (my machine has SO many that i rarely use). Then you don’t have to worry about pieces sticking up. I have also added some threads and other fun bits and bobs and it comes out so fun! Thanks for sharing- we all need ways to use up those scraps:)
That's a great idea! I want to try it. Would be really fun. Thank you 💕
i’ve seen organza used on top
Beautiful!! I’ve done some crazy quilting using large fabric swatches, but using the small pieces is just genius!! Just love it!! Thank you for sharing!!
I am so glad you enjoyed it! I am amazed at the fun you can have with these little scraps 😍
Those strips would be perfect to make fabric twine! Beautiful fabric too!
Oh my! Will have to add it to my list. Thank you for sharing. :)
I like how you point out how hesitant you were as to where to place the strips. I would find that the hardest part so your advice to just go with it is really helpful. You've really brought out the beauty in Liberty fabric. Your pieces are so lovely.
Hi...thank you for letting me know your thoughts. I am glad that my hesitation came across. I had to tell myself to let go and Just do it! I am so glad I did. :)
I love ironing fabric but NOT clothes!😊
😂 Me too! Thank you for sharing 💕
Right? Flat’s where it’s at! 😊
What an enjoyable video. Great way to use up some of those unavoidable scraps! Going to go and have a play right away! Thanks for sharing this lovely idea.
Hi… I’m so glad you liked it! I hope you enjoy your process 💕
I also make pouches about this same size. They sell well at my local flea market. Just a little tip, sew your button on before you line it. Looks so much cleaner and finishes nicely. I love your channel. Awesome projects to learn to make. Thank you so much.
Great tip! Thank you for sharing!
So cute, what a clever idea. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you like it! These scraps are inspiring me :)

Yay! Thank you!
Love this so much, looks like so much fun! I’m so glad CZcams suggested this. These fabrics are so gorgeous ! The possibilities are endless as to shape and sizes. You could make one with sides so you could hold more things in and make it like a clutch bag.. thanks so much for sharing this!
Thank you so much for watching! I plan to make myself a sweet summer bag using this process. I will video it so I can share it :)))
an interesting patchwork idea from a cheerful and talented lady
Thank you for your kind words 🙏☺️🙏
I find the result simply wondersweet (don't know if this word exists but if not I proudly announce I just made it up).
Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and how-to with us, darling! This was a true enrichment, and now I know what to do with all my upholstery snips and pieces!
I also love the way you're commenting what you're doing in a in a cheerful, conversational tone. I will watch your other videos on my TV while I finish knitting my woolen overknee stockings for the next winter, so you will be my crafting companion ❤
Wow! I absolutely love this new word. I will use "wondersweet" and think of you every time I do. :)) I am honored to be your crafting companion. The overknee stockings sound amazing. :))
If you don't mind, I'll long-term borrow that in french as ✨Merveillechouette✨
Loved it so much I subscribed! I just inherited my Mom's entire sewing studio, and she was doing things just like this. I am excited to carry on her legacy, and it is helping me to cope with her loss to be able to create with the things she didn't complete.
I am sorry for your loss. I am sure your Mom would be honored by your carrying on her passion. All the best and thank your for joining me :)
Like your eclectic style. Cool idea
Thank you very much for letting me know ❤️
Thank you! Love it all.
Thank you so much for letting me know ☺️💕
I wish I had kept my tiny scraps, now!
Believe me! These are scraps from mask making during Covid. I am so glad I had the notion to do so during that crazy time !! You can start saving moving forward 💕 Thank you for sharing…
Beautiful ❤
Thank you for watching ❤️
I find that ironing puts me into a meditative state, as do sweeping and vacuuming. This actually has a name. It is called moving meditation.
This is wonderful news. Thank you for sharing moving mediation.
I love this!!! You have so much patience ;) I'm a drawer, painter and journaler ... the first thing I thought when you were folding it getting ready to make the little clutch was it would be great for a pen/pencil holder ... with a two inch strip sewn on the length inside, beautiful ;) I used some natural canvas type material to make one, it's a little roughly made but it does the job ;) thanks for sharing !
Hi… sounds like you are very creative 🤩 This would make a great pencil and brush case.
I need on myself 😂
Thank you for sharing 💕

I love to iron too! And save scraps. I love Vermont. My sister has lived there for 39 years.
Maybe it is the sense of accomplishment that comes with getting wrinkles out of fabric 😂 Thanks for sharing that your Sis lives in VT. 💕
loved the oops 😂. This looks so beautiful 😻
Hi... I wanted to leave that in because we all have OOPS going on. Hope I made you laugh. Thanks for sharing :))
I do mine by hand stitching. Looks amazing.

Sooooo Cute!!!!!
Thank you 🙏 💕💕
Love so much❤❤❤
Thank you! Glad you liked the video :)
Lovely idea and design
Glad you like it! Thanks for letting me know 💕
Very cute pouch and making your own fabric was very interesting! I have just one small suggestion on the ribbon closure. Since the ribbon will continually have tension on it by wrapping it around the button and because the sewing machine MAYBE put two stitches in such a narrow ribbon, I would tie a knot in the end that is inside the seam BEFORE stitching it. I do this exact thing and the tie lasts forever. Even it it doesn't come out, the ribbon can strip when tugging on it to tie around the button without the knot. Thanks for the tips on making the fabric "soup!"
Thank you so much for your suggestions. I really appreciate the feedback. Always learning :)))
Это очень красиво!!! Спасибо за мастерство. ❤
Thank you for watching. Have fun creating :))
beautiful! i love watching you cut the strips and lay them down. im going to watch it agail lol

Excellent work 😊
Thanks a lot 😊
Can’t believe you made masks out of Tana lawn it’s such a beautiful fabric and so expensive I would have had to make something more than masks, whoever received them were very lucky . The new fabric looks so ❤So pretty
Hi... I already had a Liberty Fabric problem (lol) when the lock down happened. Lots of friends and family needed something soft and light to wear. I was there to help in their time of need. Just so happy that my brain was working to save the scraps. :)
Wow! 🥰😍
Thank you so much!!!
I like how you have a tiny iron and a HUGE iron.
😂 I also have an iron in between too! Thanks for watching 💕
Marvurles work god bless you ❤❤❤❤
Thank you very much! :)
Super cute 🥰! I am so jealous of your Liberty scraps (& the people who were lucky enough to receive masks made from these lovely fabrics ❤). I really need to build up Liberty stash, I adore that mushrooms 🍄🟫 print in there 😊
I love the Liberty scraps too!! Yes! the mushroom print :)) A silver lining of Covid times. Thanks for watching.
I did something similar with thread that I made into a junk journal cover. I’ve also been saving my fabric scraps to do this for another journal cover 🙂 I should have enough scraps soon 🙂
That's a great idea! I hope you enjoy making your projects 💕
Brilliant idea. I wish I had a scrap bag, but I have made a start with the few bits and bobs I have left over. ;)
I am treasuring this scrap pile. It is a silver lining from the lock down days. Thank you for watching. :)
Adorei. Fantadtico
Thank you :)))
Ficou top demais.
Looks amazing I wondered what I can do with my scraps has given me many ideas. Sharon From New Zealand
Hi Sharon, I would love to visit beautiful New Zealand one day. :) I have been dreaming about what to do with these scraps forever. LOL So much fun!
This is like sashiko but with a machine. I’ll have to try it.
John
Agreed ☺️ Thank you for sharing 🙏
Just found your channel, I am going to put cute animals in the center of some of the block for a baby quilt, love it
Great idea!! That will be beautiful. :))
Add a couple of beads to the end of the tie. Thanks for your info.
Great idea! Thanks!
Dig it !!!! I’m making some outta my zillions of scraps
I may try some with serging the edges with bright thread
Oooo weee
And thank you for getting to the point and not dragging on
Ya even showed a goof in camera ….lol😂
Hi... I love the idea of using the serger too! Even doing lettuce edge. I wanted to leave the boo boo in there because we all have these mishaps at some point. I am glad it made you laugh! Thank you for watching.
محشره واقعٱ شگفت انگیزه
Thank you!!
Beautiful I also do the same thing but I can not bear to part with my samples
That is soooooo cute. Reminds me of a crazy quilt. I want to try this. Can’t wait to see what’s next. Thank you for sharing
You are so welcome! My mind is going crazy on this concept right now. lol
Que cosa tan espectacular yo también reciclo
Maravillosa, Muchas Gracias! :))
Hi Bridgette I so enjoyed your video and you have inspired me to do something similar. You mentioned that you had a video on how you made the button that you used and I would love to see that one too, however when I looked at all your videos I couldn’t see one for buttons.
Hi Joyce, Sorry for the confusion. The buttons came from my paper bead video below. I am thinking of doing a video on buttons only. I need more... :)))
czcams.com/video/prKQvSy_71w/video.html
Hermoso! Yo haría un acolchado
I need more scrap to make a quilt 😂 Thanks!
Love it gonna try and do it
I hope you have lots of fun trying this idea out. Thank you for watching!
😃
Thank you 💕
What a fun idea for scraps! Do you get strings or does the backing prevent that?
Your vid just popped up in my feed today… love your idea… just subbed… you also have some cool tools! Please & thank you, who makes your cute mini iron? Also, first time I’ve seen an iron like your full size one - who makes it? I def am falling behind in latest sewing tools /products… Greetings from the rural countryside of NH, USA. Hellooo neighbor! 🧡
Hi Neighbor! The iron's are both Cricut Products.

I know... I have a tool problem also. There is just so much fun to be had out there. Thank you for subscribing...

Hi Brigitte. Love your creative, beautiful crazy sewing! :) How do you make the perfect little strips? My scraps are higgly-piggly mess of shapes.
Hi... these specific scraps came from mask making so I was cutting straight lines with templates. I got lucky! You could create strips with a rotary cutter and a ruler if you wanted to try without making yourself crazy. :)))
Like to iron as well. 😂
Thanks for letting my know 🤩
Hi there, your video caught my eye with all the beautiful colours you’ve used. I watched it, I liked it, so I hit the subscribe button and now I’m going to blitz through your other videos! I shall look forward to see what’s coming next. Thank you for sharing, you’ve got a new viewer from UK x
Hi... Thank you for joining my channel. I appreciate the support. Liberty fabrics catch my eye all the time. :))
Cute 🩷
Thank you for letting me know.:))
Lovely tutorial. Can you please explain what violene (sp?) is? I couldn't really hear clearly and turned closed caption on and that is the word that came up for one of the examples. I live in a remote place where it is hard to get supplies but I have lots of muslin, so that might be the way to go for me, instead of the fusible thermolam. Thanks so much!
Hi :)) Thanks for watching! The product is called Vilene but any water soluble stabilizer will work fine. I just happened to use this one. Solvy also makes a very good one. I hope this helps. Have fun :)
Opps done
:))
What a great idea!! Do you have a good source for your Liberty of London? I have wanted to purchase it the past, but the prices were hard to take. I have a lot of cotton scraps but thin Liberty of London would make a much nicer 'fabric'.
I know... Liberty is expensive. I buy it from Liberty directly and also this great place in Australia called The Strawberry Thief. Link below :) I think cotton scraps would work fine too :)))

@@Reignvermont Thanks so much for your response!
i like to iron, fold laundry…and love starting the washing machine…the smell of soap, mmmmm
😁There is such a sense of accomplishment in simple things 💕 Thank you for sharing 💕
I can't find your video on making the buttons. Can someone show me where to find it please. Thanks
Sorry about the confusion. The buttons came from my paper bead concept. Here is the link to the video. czcams.com/video/prKQvSy_71w/video.html
what's vylen? you mentioned? that you put over your scraps somehow?
Hi…it is called Vilene. It is water soluble… tho any water soluble will work. Solvy makes a great one too! Hope this helps 🥰 Thanks for watching!
Hi Bridget, can wide fabric work as well?
Hi…I don’t see why not. Mixing narrow and wide…or just wide. I like this idea 🤩 Thanks
What is Vilean I haven't ever heard of that? I do not know the spelling it was at 2:13. Thank you in advance.
Hi...Here is the link for all things Vilene. Careful you can get lost for a while on this site. LOL Thank you for watching!
