As a kid from Newark, growing up in the mid/late 80’s, this guy was a legendary figure. All I knew was that he wrote great songs and looked great onstage.
Miss you ole friend. 🙏😞 Thank you for the video I should tell you though... For the record...He stopped singing for the Ramones because he wasn't able to play and sing at the same time. He would do either or....lol. So Tommy said Joey should sing. Also, Yes he was the only one with the ramone name but Joey is the one that said it would be cool if all had the last name and to name the band.
I once looked up the net worth of the Ramones. Joey was worth the most when he died, then Johnny, then Tommy, and Dee Dee was last. All of them died with millions. Except Dee Dee. Worth less than one million. The only member who still abused drugs. Not a coincidence. And I don't know about the rest of the fans, but I always felt the Ramones name itself, was the mistake that held them back from ruling da world! RIP
They all (the original members) died maybe not young but prematurely …..man those guys lived a rocket ship life….& I recently found out they toured in a van up until the end which I find sorta sad 😞🖤but ….HEY!HO!LETS GO!!!!! I love the RAMONES 🤓
I was waiting for the buzzer to open the door of electric plant rehearsal studio and Dee Dee walked behind me and asked you ring the bell? I was like wooo Dee Dee , waited from them to open the doors … “electric plant “ utica Ave., Brooklyn, NY ..
It's pretty cool that The Riffs were one of his favorites. Whenever I hear the music favorites of olde people it's always crap. I'd like to get that riffs shirt that he was wearing
*Considering that Sid Vicious looked up to Dee Dee, I guess you could say that there might be something horribly and sickly poetic in their both dying from heroin overdoses*
Actually met Dee Dee at an AA/NA meeting back in 89. Yeah there was a sober Dee Dee as well

Dang. I guess for some rock musicians it's no drugs no rock-n-roll. Terrible trade-off.

Vous racontez n'importe quoi, c'est mon cousin de Verona-Italia. I Ramone sono una famiglia italiana, il loro padre era direttore di orchestra.
