It was named Manly by Governor Phillip who captained the first fleet to Sydney (actually to Botany Bay first then to Sydney Cove. He began exploring the harbour by rowboat and when the local aboriginal men waded out to meet him he commented they were extremely Manly and confident thus the name Manly Cove laid name to the area. So glad you enjoyed our city. I've been to Canada on both coasts and loved your country. The people are very friendly and similar to ourselves here in Oz. I’m so glad you got to go to Sydney. When my husband and I went I didn’t want to leave. Next you have to go to New Zealand. We did the cruise from Sydney. Merry Christmas and tell that other lady to stop spilling your water. So rude 😂

Congrats on your first Sydney trip! Curious if you picked it up on reserve or do you have the seniority to hold it? Are most of the crew super senior? Are there flight attendants who just do YVR-SYD-YVR 3x a month until retirement? :)
I have the seniority to hold it over the holidays because more senior people want time off in December - we'll see how long I can hold it because yes...many people just do SYD multiple times in a month because the hours are so worth it.

I’m 180cm buy every airline is different but I know many shorter flight attendants but they can still pass the reach test!
